"Why thank you." Kaida smiled at a group of three young noble ladies that had walked up to her with the intention of complimenting her looks. It wasn't the first group and neither would it be the last, Kaida knew that very well. She wasn't particularly happy about it however, and wished this ball was a masquerade ball. Because then she could pass for anyone and not be bothered by conversations that were had just so the nobles would be in her good graces.
"Not bad, my lady." Britha beamed at Kaida's side after the noble ladies had left. The older woman had been too excited to have her in the social gathering just so she could witness how well she had been doing after teaching her all she needed to know about royal protocol.
