Darkness had finally fallen after the longest and tiring of days. Uther inhaled and exhaled in contentment. The welcome night was silent, cool, every bit peaceful, a perfect gift from the gods that he was most grateful for to ease his tired mind. There was a maiden too, a beautiful one, standing out on the balcony of his once lonely castle, a place that only served as his hideout when he was tired with his world.
