"So, it was all for nothing in the end..." "Cut the crap! I'm not immune to your bullshit!" Lu Sheng He shouted at the man who was staring at him with red brimmed eyes. It was the first time that he had seen some emotions on that person's face. Alas, it was only for deception. Air passed between them, the man's over-coat floating with the forceful wind on the rooftop. Lu Sheng He and his father were standing on the rooftop of the 43-story building called Su Wen Inc. "I--" Su Wen Hui opened his mouth but then clapped his teeth together as Lu Sheng He interrupted him. His throat closed up with the grim that was erupting from his heart. "I now know your true face. To think that all those years of 'affection' was just to get back at my father...! Back then, I thought that beneath the cold face of yours, warmth and gentleness is hidden. How stupid I was! You were nothing but a sham Su Wen Hui!" Su Wen Hui took a few steps back as if his words had hit him in reality. This was what made a huge hole in his heart. His glass heart was shattered in an instant. He, Su Wen Hui, spent all these years on this child who called him a sham now. "Goodbye, father!" Lu Sheng He spat the last word venomously before the other could utter something else. He turned on his heels and began to walk away. He didn't stop or turned to see the person who had raised him, who had been his backer since he started his struggle in the cruel business world. He didn't. But he wished he did. If he did, he could have stopped that person from leaping backward from the rooftop. He would have stopped him from dying. However, it was too late and the regret was going to eat him alive. Before he could step on the staircase, the person left behind was already falling from the top floor. Lu Sheng He turned abruptly and rushed to the edge of the rooftop, looking down with wide frantic eyes. W-what happened? Dad..... He was standing here just a moment ago! W-why.....? He could see the tiny figure at the ground from up above as red liquid pooled around it. He pushed away from the edge and turned to go and check himself when a group of bulky men, led by his mother, stopped him. Just like a frightened, lost child, Lu Sheng He rushed to her side and tried to explain to her, stuttering. "M-mom.....D-dad... Su Wen Hui! He fell from the..... We have to go and help--" "It's all fine now, son. You can go and find him now." She said calmly, placing a reassuring hand on his shoulder. Lu Sheng He furrowed his eyebrows in confusion but brushed it off. His priority was to see Su Wen Hui now. However, before he could take a step away, a long dagger stabbed him in the stomach and his insides crunched in pain. Warm liquid gushed out as Samantha Kim pulled out the dagger before delivering it back with a forceful thrust. Lu Sheng Hui didn't get to avoid it because, first, he didn't expect such a thing from his mother! Second, his mind was still stuck at the lifeless body lying down on the ground. "W-why.....? Why?!" he shouted. A cold glint filtering his eyes. He didn't get to say another word when the dagger was again thrust in his stomach and with that, he fell on his back. Samantha looked at him with a vicious smirk and left with her men without looking back at her bleeding son who she had stabbed herself. Lu Sheng He died there with the images of his father who had raised him like a prince. Who had loved him dearly despite having that expressionless face. The sadness and hurt in his dad's eyes was the last thing that flashed through his mind before he took his last breath. Lu Sheng, He opened his eyes and came face to face with a stoic man. The man seized him up before turning and saying one thing that made his heart beat faster than it should. "He's too ugly to sit on the table."
