"Thanks for driving me !" I waved at Aiden , smiling widely.
"I could wait till you're done getting ready and then drop you off ." He spoke, getting out of the car.
"Oh...no, it's fine . You've done enough." I waved him off.
He faked a frown. " You don't want to invite me in ?"
"I don't want to take your time; it's still early . I'm sure you have other things to do ."
If only he knew I wanted him gone because I was too ashamed of where I lived.
I know I shouldn't be; some people were homeless, but still, this was my boss's brother. I didn't want him to think any less of me.
He remained silent for a few seconds. " Alright, I'll take a ride and be back in an hour. How about that ?"
