There was one thing I hated the most.
Her silence.
She just stared at me blankly as if trying to process what I just said. Then suddenly a smile appeared on her face but disappeared the next second.
Slowly she picked up her clothes, got dressed, and then quietly left the office. I didn't go after her, I was too weak to do so. Even if I did, how was I supposed to defend myself?
I just sat there drowning in frustration till Jade came to tell me they were both retiring for the day.
" What happened to Lillian?" She asked me as she grabbed Lillian's purse from the table.
I kept my mouth shut. She'll find out soon enough eventually.
She furrowed her brows, glaring at me." Did you two have a fight?"
