Valerie left the library the next day as I was jumping on a call. I smiled at her as she exited the door, off to find company with one of my guards. The call ended soon after, just as Brent entered the room. “Hey Des, some unfortunate news,” he began, “Matilda is having a hell of a time locating all the herbs she needs to do the mapping spell. The snow storms have everything blocked off or impossible to find.
