I managed to get three hours of sleep and woke before dawn. I sat for awhile in my room, inspecting the contents of Valerie’s wallet before returning it back into the top dresser drawer where her phone lay. I had to figure out a way to break into it. I needed to see if she had been sent here by anyone and if so, who. When the sun rose, I called a staff meeting and explained the current situation. There were some ground rules I implemented for everyone to follow. One: No shifting within view of the castle. Two: No talk of mates, werewolves, rouges, hunters or humans. Three: Knowledge of Valerie was to be kept within the castle walls. And lastly, she was always to be accompanied by either myself or someone else when I was unavailable.
