After an hour, I had to peel myself out of the warm water that had engulfed me. I stepped into the shower, where I found a bottle of shampoo and conditioner. Popping the lid open, I inhaled the fragrance. It smelt fresh, like the outdoors with a hint of cedar. Blood and dirt discolored the water as it seeped down the drain. After the water ran clear and I felt like a brand new person, I turned the handles and wrapped myself in a nearby towel. I found the tooth brush and minty paste on the counter where I brushed my teeth while staring at my tired reflection. The woman looking back at me had definitely seen better days.
