I wasn’t going to take this moment for granted. I wasn’t going to rush out of bed like I did before. The calls could wait. The emails would be read later. I didn’t appreciate this moment when I had it before, when I ended up ruining everything. No, not this time. I would lay here until her eyes opened, no matter how long it took.
