The days passed in a blur. There were lots of tears…lots of thinking… and lots of sleeping. My body felt entirely drained and I was tapped out both mentally and emotionally. My heart and my brain were at odds with one another and the bond wasn’t helping. A few times in my despair, I could feel Desmond distantly. Everything in me wanted to find the comfort his touch once brought me, but I refused. I needed to see my way through this without his presence clouding my mind.
