Chapter 12

Mandy was busy with her laptop. She was watching something in Youtube.
I‘m also busy cooking something for our dinner.
I am cooking stir fry vegetables with shrimp and pork chop.
"Dinner is ready" I said while putting the dishes on the dining table.
She lifted her head and walked to the table.
"Hmm, smells good" she said, smiling.
"I hope you're hungry right now and you need to eat. It's been 3 days and I can see you’re not eating well" I said to her.
We've been here for 3 days now and so far so good, everything is fine. We just need to read her mother's diary and wait for her dad's update.
I haven’t received any update from Mr. Sevilla though. I hope everything is fine at his end right now.
The last time he checked on us, was after the day the fake incident happened. I never told him that Mandy knew he is alive.
I was about to sat on the chair when I heard a noise. I glanced at the wall clock and it’s already 10 in the evening. It’s a late dinner because I needed to buy the ingredients first.
My butt was suspended in the air as I froze.
Mandy's eyes were shocked and her spoon full of rice and vegetables was froze mid air.
None of us is moving or even breathing.
I know she heard it too.
I focused my ears to the surrounding outside.
It's very quite but the sound of footsteps and hushed voices were as clear as daylight!
I put a finger above my lips to hush Mandy.
"They are here" I mouthed to her.
"What should we do?" she mouthed back to me.
No sound is escaping from our lips.
I slowly stood up and walked towards her.
She also did.
"Go to the basement and get all the cash from the vault. Bring all necessary things you want to bring. I hope you can do that in 30 seconds. Now go" I whispered to her.
She obeyed and is now on her feet.
I immediately went to my room and grabbed my phone, guns and ammunition.
I pulled my handgun and inserted the suppressor. I don't want to wake up the neighbors around this area.
I sling my hand carry bag full of guns, bombs and other hostile weapons on my shoulder.
I checked the car keys in my pocket. Thank God that it's still there.
Then I heard the opening of the door.
Someone kicked it open because I heard the door dropped to the floor in a loud thud.
"s**t" I muttered.
I leaned closely on the wall of my bedroom near the door and I saw a shadow coming towards my bedroom.
I quickly got out and fired at him.
A clean shot to the head.
I landed his body gently on the floor as I don't want the others to know that I'm ready.
My heart is beating wildly in my chest as adrenaline rushed through my veins.
I saw another man in front of me, gun pointing at my direction but he was unfocused so I shot him directly to the chest.

I wonder where Mandy is right now. I hope she is hiding in a safe corner.
Hell, she can defend herself by shooting column of fires at the enemy but I don't want to think that these guys have some special weapon against her, knowing she is a fire starter.
Damn!
I am starting to panic!
I need to get Mandy out of this house before I'm too late!
I made my way down the stairs and meet two guys running up the stairs.
They have no gun!
What the f**k!
So I made it fair with them.
I hit the first one on the throat and knee his balls.
The second one I punched on the jaw and he's out.
I made my way downstairs.
I quickly hid behind the door when a guy with a gun came in.
I pointed my gun to his nape and pulled the trigger, he's dead.
Then I swiftly went down to the basement to retrieve Mandy.
A couple of steps downstairs to the basement I saw Mandy coming up. She’s carrying a black bag pack on her back.
"Come now! Hurry and be quite" I whispered to her.
"I can just blow this house on fire, what do you think?" she asked.
"No, your dad will be worried! Grab my shirt and follow me" I said to her.
She did as she is told.
We walked toward the back door that will lead us to the parking lot.
When I opened the door, two big guys with guns came in.
Mandy shrieked behind me.
I quickly punched the first one on the face and kicked the other one in the gut then I shot them.
"Run! Run!" I said to Mandy.
We ran toward the car just 2 meters away from us.
"You drive, I'll shoot!" I told her and threw the car keys to her.
"Fine" she said and immediately climbed up the driver’s seat.
Mandy's car is a BMW sports car. Therefore, it's supposed to be fast as hell.
She immediately kicked the engine and the sports car roared into life.
A bullet hit our side mirror.
"Drive! Fast!" I ordered her.
She then backed away from the parking lot when another bullet or two hit our roof.
"f**k these guys!" I said through my clenched teeth as I pulled my armalite from my bag.
We're now on the road and Mandy was driving fast.
The bad guys on our tail.
Two big black cars.
"s**t! How many are these assholes!" Mandy shouted.
We're driving on a rough road and we’re not yet on the main highway.
The enemies were rapidly firing at us.
I opened the window and shoot back at them.
I missed!
"You did not hit anything!" Mandy shouted at me.
"Just focus on driving! Foot on the gas!" I told her instead.
She is now driving at 120kph!
I fired again and this time I got their driver.
Their car is now running sideways and zigzag.
I kept on shooting towards the other car pursuing us now.
I am shooting blanks!
Shit!
They kept on firing us!
I'm worried they'll hit us or our tires!
"I'm gonna kill those guys" Mandy muttered.
Again, I fired at them and I hit two guys in the passenger seat.
But still the driver kept on pursuing us with his gun.
Then we heard a bang and we were swerving from left to right.
Mandy's losing control of the steering wheel.
They hit our tire!
"I got this! s**t! s**t!" she said, panicking.
"Calm down or we'll hit a tree!" I reminded her.
She took a deep breath and our car stopped a few inches from a big tree.
"Good job! Stay in the car" I said then got out to face the remaining bad guys.
Their car stopped a few meters from us.
And seven f*****g guys went out and started advancing.
I'm screwed! They have big guns!
"I can take them down" Mandy said beside me.
I didn’t even notice that she got out from the car!
I double take when she started advancing towards the guys.
"Mandy! Stop it! Are you crazy?!" I shouted at her but she’s not listening.
Damn this woman!
She never listened to any orders!
"Stay back and I got this" she said instead.
She summoned a fire ball on her palms and I can see the guys backing off and looking worried.
She started flinging these fireballs to them. Torching three of the guys in the process.
She kept on advancing and throwing fire at them. The four remaining guys were doing their best to avoid her.
I'm standing there, looking stunned and fascinated.
I know she can take them all.
She summoned a big fireball using both of her hands and threw it at the remaining 4 guys.
And they were torched alive!
"Sayonara amegos!" she shouted at them.
She then turned to me and her reaction changed.
She looked worried and horrified.
"Oh my god! You're bleeding!" she said and ran towards me.
Then my left shoulder started to numb.
I can’t feel and move it.
I've been shot.
When? I don't f*****g know!
My shirt was soaked in blood.
Then the pain started surfacing.
I checked my shoulder and sighed when I realized it was just a clean shot.
But still, I started to feel weak from blood loss.
"We need to get out from here" I told Mandy.
