Fletcher rang the doorbell and shoved his hands into his coat pockets whilst he waited. He saw a silhouette through the frosted window approach the door. He heard the unlatching of a lock before the door swung open. Emily tucked a loose strand of blond hair behind her ear and waved him in, then shut the door behind him. “Let’s get something in you to help sober you up. Cuppa?” “That would be fine. Thanks,” he replied, nodding. “Come in and make yourself comfortable,” she said as she headed toward the kitchen. Fletcher surveyed the small room with only one window.
