Chapter 8 PhilipPhilip stood outside the vicar’s office at St. Anthony’s. He raised a hand and knocked on the door. “Come in,” Reverend Paul said. Philip stepped into the office and found the vicar sitting behind his laptop. “Have you got a minute?” “Ah, Philip—of course. I was just preparing the sermon for next Sunday.” Paul got up from his chair and walked around to where Philip stood. “Would you like to go for a walk?” Philip nodded. He needed the fresh air and a walk would do him good. “It’s a beautiful day, isn’t it?” Paul asked as they wandered out the back of the church, which opened up to the center of Village Park.
