MadisonMadison watched as Louise and Philip sealed their marriage with a kiss. With fresh eyes, she smiled to herself. Seeing them together, looking so much in love—Madison wondered how she hadn’t seen it before.
“I’m proud of you, Miss,” Scott whispered into her ear, as he came up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist.
Madison leaned her head against his chest. “They look happy, don’t they?”
“They do,” Scott said. “How are you feeling?”
“A bit flustered,” she said. “Did you know there’s no Uber in Carlton Bay?”
Scott chuckled. “Did you seriously try to catch an Uber?”
“I wasn’t sure what else to do. I mean, you had the car, so—you know...”
“How did you get here?”
“You don’t wanna know.”
