Chapter 27
PhilipPhilip cleared the breakfast table and stacked the dishwasher. He grabbed a cloth and wiped the bench top, spraying some Lysol kitchen spray in between wipes.
“Philip?” Louise walked into the kitchen. “Is it time to go?”
It was the first day of the Forget Me Not Book Club that Abby and Shelby had set up with the help of Kate. Philip had told Louise about it at breakfast and for some reason, it had stuck with her and she was eager to go. “We will—but not for some time, okay?” he said.
“No?”
“We will go,” Philip patted her hand. “But it doesn’t start until eleven o’clock. It’s only 9:30am right now.”
“Oh, okay,” Louise said. “I see.”
“I’ll tell you when it’s time to go, okay?”
“Okay, okay,” Louise said smiling.
