On the day of the competition starts, A big stadium was used where parents, teachers and important personnel attend. The day started with the speech of the principal.

" Good day to all parents, heroes, and students. A month of showing off what we are capable of is done by year level. I hope that this event will be fruitful for everyone as we are showing talents that one day will become the foundation of our country. That's all and have a wonderful Mhajicka Yearly Competition" the principal declared and big applause was heard.

" This is nerve-wracking, I am so nervous why should we the first team to be on that stage?" Chika said with a big sigh

" I know, I am so nervous" Tiana mumble

" Are you sure about fighting them?" Jude ask worriedly

Before the competition, Chika, Tiana, and Jude meet each other to make a plan.

" Listen, the team Groundbreaker has a great advantage on our team. Luis ( a.k.a Mountain), Letty ( a.k.a Sand) and Simon ( a.k.a Blade) those three are bad match to us." Chika's explaining their situation.

" I'm so useless in this type of event because my ability is not for attacking but more on interrogation" Tiana sadly said

" We can defeat them with our own, you can also do it so, don't worry too much," Jude said to make Tiana feel better

" Once in a while you say something worth listening for," Tiana says in amusement that makes Jude smile

Back to the day of the competition,

" Let's prove how Night will devour them," Chika said

" I'm your host Yes Yoh! Let's start this competition, coming from first-year students let's welcome Night and Groundbreaker!!!" he announces to the crowd, and everybody applause as the students entering the stadium.

( Luis Monte, a.k.a Mountain, has a firm big build than Mark, short black hair, dark skin, and slanted deep brown eye. He has a deep clear voice and has the ability to " giant" which makes his body become big and sturdy. He is known to have also big mind, calm and reserve)

( Letty Ferry, a.k.a Sand, has light shoulder-length curly brown hair and eyes, have lots of earrings on her left ear. She is a boyish and hot temper. She can make sand the ground by softening or hardening it.)

( Lastly is Simon Cowell, a.k.a Blade, he has an aura of a mysterious person, good looking with his blue straight hip length hair and dark blue eyes. He is quiet yet quick-witted person, he is a friend of Mark. His ability is " double s***h" and " blade of destruction".)

The two teams face each other when the host declares the beginning of their fight.

Immediately, Jude uses his ability sound quake that makes the ground move tremendously and make the stage grumbles. Luis, on the other hand, makes his self bigger five times his size, Simon climb on his right shoulder of Luis while Letty quickly turns the ground into sands.

Chika didn't miss a chance and fire bullets while running on the sands closing the distance that was easily blocked by Simon. Letty tries to catch Chuka but with her fast leg and agility that she shoot the sand when it caught her so she can continue running and firing. Jude scream that makes the sand flew towards Luis and his team, this creates blurry vision. Chika never stops attacking the three when Luis suddenly collapses and that makes Simon and Letty guard them up.

" Mountain, wake up" Simon calls Luis

" He's asleep," Letty said when the blurry field cleared they saw a bullet behind Luis

"Don't worry it will only make him asleep" Chika said

"How?" Simon ask

" The reason why you lost because you only focus on me and Jude" Chika reply and then the two remember Tiana

Before the two make another move Chika fire bullets in different directions, Simon closes the distance and fight Chika with tight distance so she can't use her gun. Chika avoids it but, Simon's knowledge of swords make things difficult for her, Jude tries to shout to use the ability sound wave but was caught by Letty. Letty covers Jude but she tries to hit Tiana at the back with a metal bat. The metal bat was blocked by the sound but it gave time to Jude to free himself. While Chika and Simon fighting, Jude together with Tiana is fighting Letty. Jude shouts that makes Letty distance herself,

" argh" Letty said as she tries to fight back the sounds

After Jude's attack, Tiana tries to hit again Letty but was block and the bat was caught by the sand, still, it doesn't stop Tiana and give a punch that hit Letty.

" Anica, I know that you don't use your fist but I wanna learn something new. Can you help me?" Tiana pleaded to Anica

Then during free time Anica spar with Tiana that gradually help her.

Going back to the competition, Letty and Luis was knocked down, when Simon saw how his comrades defeated he raises his hand and threw the white towel,

" The winner in our first round!!!! Night!" the host announce and the crowd give them a round of applause.

After, Nights fight another group from the two different sections fight inside the stage but, instead, the sound of fighting and cheering was heard the crowd was shocked and awed. Retro from class 1C surrender to Disaster a class from 1B.

Tiana went to see Ghenica and join her as an audience,

"You really help me," Tiana said as thanks and hug her

"I am happy," Anica said to her

"Hey, why is he sitting next to you?" Tiana whisper to Anica when she saw Chris besides Anica

"He's a comrade" Anica replied and smile

" Instead of blabbing there you should watch," Chris said to Tiana glaring at her

Tiana watches and the teams that are on stage are, King's ( Mark as King A, Raymond as Clone, and Calix as Thunder) and from class 1C, the Fairies.

( Paola Simpson, a.k.a Vine, has hair like vines, pale skin, green deep eyes and has an elegant posture. Her ability is " Strangle" where she uses her hair to create strong vines to restrain anyone, another ability is called " Photosynthesis" an ability she uses to place seed that has the ability to grow fast and big to become a man-eating plant once touch soil and water.)

( Feya Grayson a.k.a. Rain, has short curly light blue hair, a small nose, and body, has a mole below her lips. Her ability is " rain shower" where spikes of drops pierce anything and "water symphony" a type of technique where the weather is manipulated)

(Lastly, is Hailey Mari a.k.a Time, she is Tiana's cousin on her father's side. She has shoulder-length braided violet hair, tall, and has fair skin. Her ability is " Halt " where she can freeze a person time and "Rapid" where she can make time move faster)

When Anica looks at the stage a bug man-eating plants place around the stage, she also saw how the rain only pours at the stage. Mark is fighting against the plant and tries to attack Paola that was being protected by the plants. Calix calls forth thunder but it was being stopped by Hailey's ability Halt, even though he tries to use water as the conductor Hailey's ability is his big hindrance. Raymond fights Feya but because he can't close the distance between them, Raymond can't deal damage to her. The fight between the two groups is still equal until, Raymond change into a Giant that he immediately brushes off Hailey. Before Hailey get a chance to stand Calix use his ability Max Thunder that use the water around to make a chain reaction of electricity and electrocuted the stage but Feya uses her ability Water Cyclone so that the electricity will only travel in one direction but, it was too late and only create a big explosion. Smoke was created by the abilities that clash and when it slowly fades the crowd was shocked because all the pupils were knocked down and the host declared draw to both teams.

The first batch of teams fights on that day ends. Anica with Tiana walk together when she was called by a woman from behind.

" Anica" the woman calls for Anica, she look who called her and it was Jean's parents

"Mr. and Mrs. Rhiel! I am happy to see you both healthy." Anica said with a sweet smile on her face

"We two are both glad to see you again." Mrs. Rhiel said to her and hug her tenderly while Mr. Rhiel pat Anica's head

" ah, this is Tiana a friend of mine," Anica said as she introduces Tiana to the two

"Hello, she's pretty" Mrs. Rhiel praise Tiana

" Good day," Mr. Rhiel said to Tiana with a little yet soft smile

"Have you seen your daughter, I can call her so you can enjoy your time together" Anica said

" Yes, she contacted us when we arrive. If it's not too much to ask I want to give your class something to eat during dinner, can you come with us to choose? Your friend may come" Mrs. Rhiel pleaded to her

" I think Jean will misunderstand if I will come to you." Anica softly reply, the couple look at each other

" Why? If we bring her along then how can we pick a present for her?" Mrs. Rhiel said

"Then, if I can help to choose a present for her I am glad to come with you" Anica reply with a smile

They went outside the campus and like what the couple said they brought a gift for their daughter. Anica also get gifts together with Tiana. The food they decided to bring was chicken with different flavors.

The couple went inside the cafeteria and bring the foods they bought, the whole class was amaze and get hungry. Jean saw how Anica comes after her parents she starts to frown but her mother grab her and whisper, " We have something for you"

"Really?" Jean asked in a lower voice while the class pick their foods

"We will give you later," Mrs. Rhiel said

While eating, Jude raise his hand and ask Jean's parents,

" Mrs. Rhiel, the ability Charm did you use it to make your husband fall in love with you?"

Chika slap Jude's head and said, "Don't mind this i***t"

" No, that's a nice question during our times we two are from different teams. I was widely known in the name Charmer and my ability is the same as my daughter. My husband on the other hand known as Fist he and I never meet and impossible to meet because we are distributing differently because our ability is not that compatible. I also want to know how he falls in love with me" Mrs. Rhiel said while reminiscing their days with a warm smile on her face

" It's a secret" Mr. Rhiel shortly replied that didn't satisfy the class

"Tell us!" the students yell pleading to him

" Fine, it was... ahem... It's the first day I enter Mhajicka Academy. I heard a rumored beauty and I got curious about her. So I look for her from afar until an incident where a large scale of monsters appear, she saves me from a monster back then" Mr. Rhiel said with a smile on his face

" You thought I was cool right?" Mrs. Rhiel teases her husband

" Then you become a stalker?!"Jude suddenly yell, his classmates glare at him and give him smack

" Sorry about this retarded"Chika said

The whole dinner was fun and full of stories. Anica excuse herself when Chris grab her hand and pull her inside his room.

" Do you need anything?" Anica ask

" Tomorrow is our fight," Chris said

"Are you nervous?" Anica ask that makes Chris glared at get

" Do I look nervous, I want to ask you something" Chris said and whisper something to Anica

"I see, then I will do that" Anica said to him, she stares at him

" What? Go sleep!" Chris said and push Anica out of his room

" We will not say it to Ralyn?" she asks

" It's up to you, as long as nobody knows about it then it's fine," Chris said and open his door to push Anica

" How mean, you are asking a favor yet.."Anica whisper when Chris open the door and glared at her

" Tch! Go now or do you want me to drag you?" Chris said and Anica run away from him

" Let's meet tomorrow, your Mama and Papa will cheer on you," Mrs. Rhiel said and give a box to Jean

" What is this?" Jean asks

"Open it," Mr. Rhiel said and Jean open the box it was jewelry set with a heart design.

" It's pretty," Jean said with a smile on her face

" We are glad," Mrs. Rhiel said and the couple hug their daughter

" Thank you, I will do my best," Jean said to both of them and they say goodbye to one another

The next morning, another day, another batch of the first-year student will face on the stage. The first match is Chris team which they call "One" and from class 1C Defendants

(Johnny Earns, a.k.a Elastic, has a thin body with big round eyeglasses he is a distant cousin of the twins. His ability is to absorb any physical mhajicka used on him, he is also able to use energy mhajicka; a fire mage)

( Venna Fiona, a.k.a Rapier, she uses a double blade and good at fighting. Her ability is like how Mark uses his will to measure the durability of his armor. As long as Venna is calm her blade can cut anything even energy mhajicka.)

(Last is, Evan Lotto a.k.a Eraser, his ability is to erase energy mhajicka for fifteen minutes to his opponent he touches. He has a facemask on that covers his face, blue-green eyes, black hair and he also wears gloves.)

Yesterday at class 1C dormitory,

" What do you think, they will sure do a one on one fight," Johnny said while touching his eyeglasses

" Two of them use energy mhajicka and the other one is physical mhajicka. The physical mhajicka user called Chris will surely never attack Johnny so he will mostly aim to any of us" Venna said

" Johnny might fight Anica to buy time if one of us defeated by the two" Evan said

" Then, Ralyn will come at Venna and Chris will surely fight Evan," Johnny said to them

" If that's the case then, I or Venna must fight Chris at all cost. He's a problem because even without his ability that stack up his raw strength is incredible" Johnny added

" Once he's out we can restrain the two" Venna said

Going back, the two teams face each other, and when the host gives the signal to start Chris teleport himself and his two teammates behind their opponents.

Chris faces Johnny, Ralyn faces Venna and Anica faces Evan that shocks the three.

Anica who is facing Evan makes sure that she distance herself so that he can't touch her. Anica uses her ability Protection to corner immediately Evan but, Venna rescues her by attacking Anica. Ralyn tries to rescue Anica but was attacked by Evan who is hiding a knife behind him. Ralyn tries to avoid but lose her footing, Evan will touch her but Anica covers Ralyn. Venna will again attack Anica but Ralyn use her water bullets that make her distance.

Now Ralyn faces Venna, and Anica faces Evan without her energy mhajicka. Evan will attack Anica but she easily dodges it and grab Evan's arm to topple him down that never expect by Johnny and Vienna. Vienna tries to rescue Evan but was stop by Ralyn. Johnny that absorb the attack tries to help Evan and Vienna but was kick and thrown outside the stage losing his consciousness. Unexpected events happen that lose Venna's composure and was defeated, which declares the win of One. The crowd clap and awe at what they watch.

" How do they win? Yoh! " a teacher with shades, mustache, bulky body and wear a sleeveless suit, tattoos on the shoulder of different dragons that speak with big voice ask

"Teacher Teddy, I know your students are strong but they are defeated by my students because mine is being belittled," Ms. Camille said

"I will yoh! Scold them, so how...how...how do they win yoh!" Teacher Teddy ask

" Ghenica doesn't have physical mhajicka but, her agility, speed, and strength to combat are promising since she was trained. Ralyn is smart and Chris though he always goes berserk he asks Ghenica an item which she and Ralyn gave bless. Gloves where they store energy mhajicka so he can use." Ms. Camille explain to him

" How do they do that yow! yoh?!" Teacher Teddy ask another question

" Ralyn Bell, she was a descendant of Bells that can transfer energy mhajicka to any object," Ms. Camille said

Another team faces each other and the last team for that day was Jean's team.

" That's cool, I like how he throws that Evan," Bert said while they watch the first match

" They are really good, I hope that we can win," Nio said

" We are much better than them, we plan very carefully and train hard. I must win because I am much better than Anica" Jean said with a high tone

"Jean, why you hate her so much? She's a nice person" Nio said trying to protect Anica

"Because that's how she wants you to look at her. She secretly doing hateful things behind you. She manipulates anyone she saw at her disposal" Jean said frowning and furious

" Watch your mouth, I always never said anything when you talk behind her back but, you are too much." Bert coldly said to her with a smile on his face

" I will be back before our match," Jean said and leave the two behind

"Do you know perhaps why she treats Anica that way?" Nio ask Bert

" No, maybe she hates her because Anica do something to her intentionally or not," Bert replied

" I think she is just jealous, Anica is nice so it's impossible that she do something to her" Nio said
