"Are you okay?" Arthur asked Elise, restraining himself from reaching out to touch her. Arthur didn't want her to feel suffocated or overwhelmed, especially when she is with him. His presence should only bring her joy, clarity, and a sense of security.
Elise looked up at Arthur, her eyes were wide, "I am the one who should be asking that" She whispered, shaking her head at the king who raised his eyebrows at her in confusion, "Are you okay?" She asked, crossing the distance between them and putting her hand on his arm.
Arthur let out the breath that he didn't realize he was holding and looked down at her small hand that was resting on his arm, "Yes, I am now" He said, leisurely bringing his free hand to place it over her hand and giving it a gentle squeeze.
