“Are you sure your clan will accept her?” Kalen asked me as we made our way through the woods to my clan. It certainly was a valid question. Wren hadn’t been there in centuries.
“I am positive they will accept her.” I informed him confidently. “Part of the reason she never comes here is she was always concerned that making her connection with my clan known would put them at risk. I’m sure you are well aware that putting others unnecessarily at risk is her biggest fear. So, she only communicated with them through secured, and spelled letters. I came back occasionally, but even I had to limit my contact, for the same reason.” I told him and he nodded. I looked to my sleeping friend in his arms, and picked up the pace a bit.
