From the Perspective of Aspen, Senior Knight
I couldn’t believe it. She was not recovered in the slightest. I knew something had to be off if she wasn’t training the new recruits herself. It was not like her to delegate every single training session. She of course would delegate quite a few, but training new recruits and making sure each of them learned the knight’s code from day one was something that she took personal responsibility for. Black Knight must be worse off than any of us knew. I needed to talk to Elden and Eva.
Luckily, I knew they had just returned from a diplomacy mission to the elven kingdom. So they were probably in their office debriefing. I wove through the keep and found my way to their office that they shared. I knocked on the door, and was met with Elden’s answer
