Chapter 5

Batcave

Bruce clenched his fists while Kaneki got into a simple fighting stance. They were in the training room while the bats inside the cave were making loud squeaks.

"Are you sure?! I might kill you, you know." Kaneki warned.

"That's why I'm willing to find out. The recordings that Amanda shown me are not enough. I need to test your strength and speed." Bruce smirked before getting into his fighting stance, "Remember! Don't hold back. But, just don't use your Kagune."

The white haired emo was very calm outside but on the inside, Kaneki was very worried. He might accidentally kill Bruce. He wasn't even wearing any armor. Yeah! He may be the Batman but he is still human. Kaneki might need to put an act of faith on this. He has to.

"Well, if you insist." With that, he suddenly disappeared from Bruce's eyesight.

Bruce turned around and saw Kaneki's fist was about to hit his face but Bruce dodged it and kneed Kaneki in the gut.

Kaneki stumbled back at the force. It didn't hurt. But he felt that. It seems that he underestimated him. Bruce was really strong for a human.

The ivory head ghoul was brought back to reality when Bruce tried to punch him in the face, but Kaneki dodged it and kicked down the billionaire playboy.

Bruce started getting back on his feet before Kaneki charged at him in high speed. Bruce suddenly catched both of Kaneki's fists and tried to twist both of his arms before kicking him in gut again, but Kaneki's abnormal strength made him fail, so Bruce elbowed Kaneki's gut instead.

Kaneki's started to feel pain in his belly. He may be stronger and faster than Bruce, but Bruce has more fighting experience than him, which makes Bruce a dangerous opponent.

Bruce punched Kaneki in the face and tried to punch him again, but Kaneki blocked it and tried to knee the playboy, so Bruce suddenly kicked Kaneki in the legs which made Kaneki fell to the ground.

Bruce tried to kick Kaneki again while the ivory head teenager is still on his knees. But Kaneki suddenly disappeared from Bruce's eyesight again before throwing an uppercut at Bruce's jaw.

The force sent Bruce flying a few feet away from the emo ghoul before falling down. Luckily, Bruce managed to went down on his feet, meaning he is still standing at that attack. But the billionare playboy felt a huge pain at that uppercut.

"It's time to get serious." Bruce declared. They were holding back at that fight, but it's all gung-ho and serious now.

Kaneki smirked and started cracking his fingers before saying, "About damn time, you say that."

Joker's Hideout

"He got away. Mr. J. We lost track of him." A man wearing a black tux informed.

The green haired crazy clown gritted his teeth in annoyance. He hates it if someone failed him. He pulled out his silver revolver and pointed it at the man.

"You failed me!" The Joker pulled the trigger and the man closed his eyes, waiting for the impact. He opened his eyes again and found out that The Joker intentionally missed and hitted the wall instead, "The second bullet won't miss next time. Find him, or I'll have your head on a pike." Joker threatened.

"Yes, sir." The man left the room while his legs were shaking. He was scared. The Joker almost killed him.

Belle Reve

"Where's the cannibalistic emo?" Floyd asked while leaning against the wall.

"The Joker tried to kill him. He knew where Kaneki lived. So, Amanda sent him to Bruce Wayne with a new identity." Flag answered while placing his hands on his hips.

Floyd scoffed, "That billionare! He better be careful with him. If he doesn't want to get eaten."

"I agree, but Kaneki will never eat Bruce. I can bet on that." Flag admitted.

"Did you guys ever found out what he is?" Lawton questioned.

"Yes." Flag replied.

"Well, can you tell me?"

"Yeah, sure." Flag agreed.

Kaneki sat down on the couch. He was feeling pain in every muscles of his body. After his fight with Bruce, it really took most of his strength. Bruce had more fighting style and experience than him while Kaneki had the speed and strength.

The white haired emo wiped all the sweat in his body with a towel while leaning back on his seat. He took a deep breath before remembering about the pretty young girl from his school.

"Are you okay?" A gruffly voice came from behind.

Kaneki turned his head around and saw Bruce. He was full of sweat too.

"I'm fine." Kaneki answered, "I just haven't felt like this in a long time."

Bruce snickered, "I see." He sat beside at the ivory head ghoul before looking at his all bruised-up fists. Punching Kaneki was like punching a steel wall. He was tired and getting sleepy. He then noticed that something was bothering Kaneki because the emo won't stop brooding. "Are you really okay? You seem to be deep in thought."

"At school. There was this girl. She-" Kaneki was interruped by Bruce when he placed a hand on the white haired teen's shoulder.

"You're too young, Kaneki." Bruce advised.

"What?! No! It's not like that!" Kaneki exclaimed while his face were blushing red.

"Well, then. What is it like?"

"She doesn't smell like a human. But she reeks of death. I felt like she was a being that I should stay away from." Kaneki informed.

"This girl? What's her name?"

"Rachel Roth." Kaneki answered.

Bruce was a bit interested in her. He could recruit her right now.

"Don't! Bruce! I don't want that girl to be feeling exposed because of us. You find somone else. There are other meta-humans for your 'team'. Just not her. She's too young."

Bruce raised an eyebrow at that, "Says the one who is still a short teenager."

"I'm different from her. And you know that." Kaneki retorted.

"Well, I guess you're right." Bruce admitted.

"So, Kaneki belongs to a dangerous endagered species called 'ghouls'?" Floyd asked

"Yes." Flag answered.

"He must had lived a hell then." Floyd admitted.

"Yeah." Flag agreed.

Gotham University

Kaneki sat on the bench and let out a big sigh. He leaned back on his seat before closing his eyes.

"Hey! Emo freak!" A familiar voice called out.

The ivory head teen opened his eyes and turned his attention to the source. It was his new classmates. There were six of them and they have probably came to pick on him because many girls were all interested in Kaneki. The girls liked his quiet emotionless demeanor and appearance. But Kaneki was never interested in having a love life since Rize.

"What is the meaning of this?" Kaneki questioned

"You're f*****g dead!" One of the bullies declared.
