Chapter 30: Second Wave
"Is that it?" Trevor asked hopefully as he peeked out the window that was in the family room. We either killed her men or locked them up in the basement an hour ago. Since then, things have been quiet but I know more would come, it was just a matter of time. I knew she wouldn't be in the first wave that came through. She was smart, she would be in the second group when we were at our weakest. "No, that was just the welcoming crew." I said as I winced as I sat down on the floor. My body was bruised and I'm sure broken in some areas. I hurt all over if that was possible. I was worn out and I just wanted to rest.
