Her Mate, His Luna

Chapter 8

*Ivàn's POV*

    I can't believe I'm on my way back to my home with my mate, who is snuggled into me and sleeping peacefully. Four days ago, I was a lonely alpha looking for his mate and taking care of my pack alone. Being both their alpha and luna, and now I'm bringing home my mate. I don't know how I lived without her before. She suddenly became my reason for breathing, for waking up in the morning; she made my pack become my world because now she is my universe. Aliane is so goofy, which balances my seriousness. She makes me lighten up and enjoy the little thing like jumping up and down and being an i***t on the dance floor just because you can. I can't wait to mark her and let everyone know she is mine. 

   My sister knows about my mate, so it's safe to say that now my whole pack knows as well. My twin sister Izzy is the biggest gossip ever, and that's not an exaggeration. She loves knowing everything and telling people what she knows. Sometimes that has come in handy for me. But after she found her mate and had kids, I stop sending her on missions to get information for me.  I love my nephews so much; they are the perfect little boys. They are identical, so they try to swap lives all the time even though they are two, but it never works. Alberto has light brown eyes, while Alexandro has dark brown eyes. Since they have a small difference in their eyes, it's easy to tell them apart. Izzy went to an assassin school at 16 and became one of the best wolf assassins in history. This is why I used to let her go out, but since the boys were born, I've forbidden her to get another case, and as alpha, she has no choice but to listen even though she hates it. So she has insisted on becoming the gossip queen these days. 

    I'm not worried that my pack will not like Aliane. I know she will have to prove herself to them all, but once she earns their respect and trust, they will blindly follow her. Our pack will love her because she is an amazing and kind person and because the moon goddess has marked her. She is a messenger of the moon goddess. Meant to bring peace on earth. 

    I spent the rest of the drive lost in thought about my pack and lovely mate. 

*Aliane*

    Ivàn woke me up when Antonio pulled up to their pack boarders. I can't believe that I slept for the full ride, but I was emotionally drained and just needed some rest. But now I was nervous and excited. I am going to be a Luna, and I want to prove myself to my pack. I want to be the best of the best. 

"Ivàn?"

"Yes, Mariposa?"

I would have to ask him what Mariposa was and why he kept calling me that, but that is a conversation later.

"I am nervous... I want them to like me and respect me, but what if they won't? I have never had practice at being a Luna before, and what if they won't respect me because I'm an Alpha's daughter or a protected wolf?"

 Ivàn picked me up and put me on his lap. He snuggled his face into my neck and breathed in my scent, and I did the same. It instantly calmed me. He smelled like cinnamon and pine trees on a foggy morning in the woods, and it was home. He smelled like home. 

"They will not think less of you because of your status, and no one will hate you because your a protected wolf. They will be jealous and envious, but no one will treat you poorly. You will have to prove that you are worth their trust and respect, no doubt about that, but I know you can. In the last three days, I can't remember being happier or seeing such a light and goodness in a person. You are spectacular, and they will love you as I do, but ill always love you more than them." He said with a lopsided grin. 

"What if I end up loving them more than you?" I said with an evil grin. 

 Ivàn and Antonio burst out laughing, and I couldn't help but smile a huge cheek, hurting grin. His laughter is my favorite sound. 

"I think I love you, dollface. We're going to be best friends!" Antonio said, and I laughed a little, and  Ivàn made a small growl.

"I think we're going to be great friends, Glacier!" I said with a huge grin at the nickname I came up with.

"Why the hell you call me Glacier dollface?"

"Because your eyes are the clearest blue I've ever seen with flecks of white along the outside. Your eyes remind me of a glacier." I said casually. 

"I like it, dollface; thank you for the nickname."

"Thank you for my nickname as well." I smiled at him, hoping he could see it through the mirror because he was still driving. 

"I think I should be jealous or worried about the fact that you checked him out so closely to make that observation."

Glacier and I laughed and shook our heads.

"No need to worry, my love; I only checked out his eyes; really, they were intriguing. I've never seen anything like it before, but don't worry, your eyes are still the most beautiful pair I've ever seen," and then kissed his nose. 

"Dollface, I'm a whole mountain of sexy why did you only linger on my eyes? I've got biceps beyond your wildest dreams." 

 Ivàn growled, and then Antonio and I bused up laughing our asses off. I laughed so hard that my sides hurt, and I started to cry.

"I don't think I am going to like the friendship between you two,"  Ivàn said, still growling and holding me into him. 

My laughter died down a little bit, and so did Antonio's I could already tell we would be best friends. 

(15 minutes later)

We finally pulled up to the pack's residence. It was way different than mine. Almost all of my packs lived in the packhouse but not in my new one. Here there were houses everywhere. It was their town of pure houses. It was incredible. All the houses had the same color theme but in different patterns. They were white and dark blue with flecks of gold. It represented the crescent pack and Lunar pack together in their colors, making sense because the packs were combined when  Ivàn's parents got married. It was beautiful. When we got to the packhouse, it was the most beautiful thing I'd ever seen. It was four stories and had a front porch with a chair swing and a little dining area on the other side. It had the same colors and all the other houses but with two large wooden doors with wolves carved into them. It was breathtaking, and I couldn't wait to go inside and explore my home. But first, I'd have to meet the pack. The pack was currently on both sides of the car and all across the lawn. They were smiling and waving at the car. Antonio stopped the car and opened the driver's door. He went to  Ivàn's door and opened it. 

"Stay here till I call you out, Mariposa." Before I could respond, he was already standing out the door but, at the same time, blocking me from everyone's view. 

"Welcome home, Alpha!" Rang out from everywhere

"I'm glad to be home! I also have someone I want you all to meet. Please do not all came and ask her questions at once. Let her adjust to her new home first. With that being said, please welcome your Luna Aliane James!"

Cheers were coming from what I'm guessing was everyone in the pack. This helped me when it was finally my time to exit the car.

 Ivàn turned around and took my hand, helping me out of the car. Once I was out, I lifted my head towards the pack.
