Lyra dropped into the grass after training, her muscles aching pleasantly. She had to admit it was getting easier, just like Halle promised. And she was learning to enjoy the burn in her muscles after pushing herself past limits she hadn’t known she could reach. Jake had already told her he wanted to let Juno run again tomorrow, but Lyra wasn’t filled with the dread that had come with her earlier shifts.
