Selene

Violet's POV  Where am I? One minute I'm with Chris, the next thing I know I'm in this strange place. Did I teleport somehow? Do I have superpowers? I continue walking aimlessly, trying to figure out where I am. Wherever this is, it is beautiful. The ground looks like it's covered in snow, but it's soft, fluffy, and warm.  Spotting a wooden bench surrounded by flowers, I take a seat and try to think about what happened. It's my wedding day, I should be with my husband. I close my eyes and picture myself with him. We were laying next to each other in our wolf forms when- I gasp. There was a loud bang and a painful pierce through my heart. I place my hand over my chest where I had been shot. I'm afraid to look down and see the wound. I hesitantly open my eyes, but there's nothing there. Was I dreaming? Did that not happen?  'HELLO?" I ask out loud, hating this feeling of confusion. I need to get back home. I need to feed Benny soon and I want to celebrate with my husband and pack. I shouldn't be here.  "Violet." I got startled at hearing my name. I look frantically around for the source of the voice. A woman who is the definition of beautiful approaches me. She has a soft glow to her and a calming aura. "Hi. How do you know me? I don't recognize you, I'm sorry."  She let's out a small giggle. "You have nothing to be sorry about my child."  She is now standing in front of me. "Please, take my hand. We need to talk." Trust her. I hear my wolf say in my head. I place my hand in hers and stand to my feet. "I'm sure you have many questions. For starters, my name is Selene." I gawk at her. "As in the moon goddess?" She nods her head in response to my question. I stop walking.  "Wait. I wasn't dreaming, was I? Am I...dead?" I ask with a choked up voice.  "I am so sorry, Violet. You weren't meant to be here yet." I begin to cry. My heart shatters. I'll never see my baby boy grow up to be the wonderful man I know he will be. I'll never kiss or hold Chris again. My family, friends, and pack.. gone.  I can't bare to stand any longer and I fall to the ground in a weeping mess. Selene joins me and wraps me up in a soothing hug. Her touch calms me, but doesn't take away this pain I am feeling.  "Violet. I have been watching you and all the packs for a long time. You are the kindest, most bravest woman I have seen even before turning into a wolf, and that, is why I have chosen you."  I stop my sobbing for a second and look up at her angelic face, confused.  "Chosen me for what?" I manage to ask without cracking my voice. She smiles warmly at me. "Your  next child, will be the next moon goddess when the time comes."  My jaw hits the floor and I am speechless.  "What? How? That's not possible. I'm dead. Remember?" She let's out a laugh and I begin to feel frustrated with her. I don't appreciate being laughed at. Especially with a matter this serious.  "I'm the moon goddess, remember?"  She replies to me with a smirk.  I continue to stare at her, waiting for her to elaborate.  "You're special, Violet. I am sending you back to Earth, for you will be the mother of the future moon goddess."  I can't believe what I am hearing. "A-Are you serious? You can do that?" She nods her head with a smile.  "Only this one time. I can't bring you to life again after this. So, please be careful my child." I can't contain my joy and I hug her tightly. "I can not thank you enough for this. Thank you! Thank you!"  "Hold my hands and close your eyes." I eagerly do as she says. "Open." When I open my eyes, I quickly shut them again due to the harsh light. I wait a moment before blinking my eyes open slowly to adjust to the light in the room.  Looking around, I recognize the room and smell. I'm at the pack hospital. I'm naked under this hospital blanket. I look down and watch in amazement as the bullet wound begins to close up. Looking up at the ceiling, I thank the moon goddess once again. "Chris." I call through mind link. He doesn't answer me though and I begin to feel sad. Mate thinks we're dead. My wolf reminds me. Oh, yes. That. He probably thinks he's imagining me calling out to him.  "Noah." I try to link him and see if I get a response. I would just get up and look for them, but my legs feel like jelly. Nothing. Darn it! I look around the room until I spot what I'm looking for. The call button. Thankfully, it isn't too far out of reach. I use every ounce I can muster up to get my thumb to push the button. I may be alive, but I still feel numb.  It takes a mere ten seconds before two nurses and a doctor rush into my room.  They look like they have just seen a ghost. The three look at each other and then back to me. Not a single word being spoken.  "Hi. Can you call for Alpha Chris and my family please? Oh, and a glass of water?" I ask, breaking the tension in the room. The one nurse glazes her eyes over, communicating with the ones I asked for. The other nurse gets me a glass of water while the doctor starts to examine me.  "Alpha Violet, can you tell me what you remember?" He asks while checking my pulse. He takes his stethoscope and listens to my heartbeat, looking baffled. I tell him I remember being shot, but I leave out the whole Selene detail until my mate and family arrive.  "This is a miracle!" He shouts excitedly.  A bunch of running feet can be heard outside the door and in swarms my loved ones.
