I remain silent as I process what I just heard. How could my sweet, kind-hearted friend end up with a hunter as a mate? There must be a good reason as to why. The moon goddess never makes a mistake. "Megg, are you sure?" She stares at me with dead eyes. "Of course I am sure!" I hug her tightly. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to offend you." I rub her back as she starts to cry again. "Oh, Violet.
