Maeve Alexandra rushes after the servant and I follow them across to the yard. We get to a part that is very close to the woods. I assume this is where some of the servants who work in the castle with their families live. We get into one of the small wooden houses. The light inside is dim, as there is only a tiny window in the room they take us to. I hear mutters and heavy exhales, sobs and muffled questions. The boy is lying on a bed, covered in a blanket. But I catch the rusty smell of blood instantly, as well as his shallow breathing. A few people are standing around by the bed, expressions worried. A woman is kneeling next to the child's bed.
