"What?" I said, in shock. "You did what?"
My Aunt sealed her lips realizing my parents hadn't told me yet.
"Ava, let me explain." My mum tried coming close to me, I pushed her away, feeling betrayed.
"You told strangers about my condition without me knowing?" I said to my mother, more tears falling down my face.
"Ava, don’t overreact—" my mother started, but I stepped back, shaking my head.
"You told them?"
My aunt folded her arms, unbothered. "Of course, we did. The Hargraves needed to know what they were signing up for. It's only fair."
