Felix turned towards Bella, a little bit scared and a little bit happy, because he had never assumed that Bella was going to support him… in fact in front of her cousin, after the way she had behaved at their engagement.
But at the same the way the words had jumped out of Bella's mouth, he wasn't sure the mental state his wife currently was in.
He knew that he was already at fault for being late and not delivering the file she asked him to… and then, he had also somehow gotten involved in her family matters, that too without even telling her anything or keeping her in confidence.
But still, he needed to hear what she was going to say.
