The demon finally fell down with its body corroding in pixels. Zi Yingjun clenched his hand and the scythes broke to pieces before gathering together and becoming the same sword again. The elders behind him glanced at each other with the same thoughts. Before, they think he was hopeless but to think he can kill a Foundation Building existence, that is a great success. However, no matter how they keep checking his cultivation, it was in the third level. This roused suspicion. Furthermore, the sword he have is not even a tribute from the Jin or Hei Clan. Where did he get it?
"So, who's next?" suddenly, Zi Yingjun faced them with his usual dark smile. The elders raised a brow. One of them turned his back and waved his hand.
"Zi Yingjun, don't be arrogant. We should catch up with the others now."
The rest are about to agree when a scythe struck the elder's head. A female elder screamed in fright as the other male elder looked at Zi Yingjun in disbelief. The sword before had turned into a pair of scythe. He holds a clean one while the other was bloody.
"Im serious." Zi Yingjun walked towards them slowly when he vanished and appeared in front of them. A black mark glowed from the corner of his eyes. "You cant keep your mouths shut. We all know you are going to report to Zi Ming Yun and have me investigated. Well, guess. I will not let you."
"Zi Yingjun, are you crazy?! We are your elders! Shouldn't you respect us?"
"He's right! You've gone more unruly, Zi Yingjun."
"Heh." he tittered as if amused. Zi Yingjun turned the scythes to seven and surrounded the elders. A white barrier emerged and blocked their way. Just on time, Sovereign Hei came out of Zi Yingjun's body. His shadowy figure terrified them. The evident murderous aura from him is quite alarming. "Sovereign Hei, you can annex their dantian now. Next dantian will be Zi Gu Wen's."
"Great!" Sovereign Hei turned into a flowing shadow and enveloped the barrier. Screams of fright resounded in the forest. Zi Yingjun can see within the shadows from how Sovereign Hei corrode their bodies. Only two spherical object was left and it was their dantian that is still filled with qi. He had seen enough and took out a pill. Zi Yingjun consumed it, his straight lips curled upwards.
Not far, Shi Zhao and Zi Gu Wen took a pause. They exchanged glances. Shi Zhao placed Hai Liang down and a little winged tiger appeared.
"Princess, this is Hu, my spirit beast. Hu can guard you for the meantime." Shi Zhao entrusted her to Hu. He ignored Zi Gu Wen's look of curiosity as they headed to the forest. They both paused on their track to see Zi Yingjun kicking a skull. Behind him stood a shadowy figure that Shi Zhao recognized.
"Oh. You're here." he even dared to brim a smile but his foot crushed the skull underneath it. Zi Yingjun picked another skull and kicked it upwards. He turned towards them and directed the skull to Zi Gu Wen after kicking it again.
"Yingjun!" Zi Gu Wen evaded the skull as it crashed to a tree. He cant understand what is happening. Moreover, there are four skulls here and there are a stack of bones on the side. It cant be...those were the elders?
"Sovereign Hei, how does the dantian tastes?" Zi Yingjun ignored Zi Gu Wen and asked Sovereign Hei in a casual way.
"The first heart is restoring. But its not enough." Sovereign Hei looked at Zi Gu Wen. His sharp mouth gapped to create a sinister smile. "Their dantian is enough to heal half its damage. The skills I can provide you will be enhanced too."
"Zi Yingjun, the Shadow Asura is your demon beast?" Shi Zhao asked in a grim tone. He didn't see this coming. First, he thought Zi Yingjun was a scheming boy to reach his goals but he never expected the Shadow Asura is now his.
"Luckily, he is." Zi Yingjun decided not to hide a part of his secrets. "Shi Zhao, I know Jin Xuan Pei hired you to investigate me but these months, you never intended to do what you were asked. Tell us what really brought you here. Don't worry, after this, one of us can get out of here and the motives we all have will be kept by that one person."
Shi Zhao pondered to choose the right decision. This can be the last day of his life and Zi Yingjun already exposed his secret.
"Im from Ye Empire. They sent me here to find the Shadow Asura and make sure it will not leave Da Long Mountain. So that, the experts will arrive once the setup is completed. But I didn't foresaw this. You brought the Shadow Asura outside Da Long Mountain. Right now, we are not even halfway through Ye Empire's rural areas." Shi Zhao pondered for a while. He breathed deeply and castes a glare to Zi Yingjun. "My master also asked me to provoke you and keep you suppressed. I failed but this is the right time to fight equally with you. No rules, no limit."
After saying this, Bai Steel formed itself in Shi Zhao's grasp. "Zi Gu Wen, believe it or not, your childhood friend is not hesitant to kill you for the demon beast behind him. A Shadow Asura corrodes the flesh and lives of its victims in order to sustain itself. The elders died this way and we are next. You have no choice but to fight him." he broke Zi Gu Wen's astonishment upon reminding the situation they are in.
"Yingjun, were you also the one who killed Hei Xue?" Zi Gu Wen quickly asked. If one of them dies, at least the other had confirmed it.
"En. It was me." he nodded in return. Zi Gu Wen sighed in dismay.
"What happened to you? How evil are you?" Zi Gu Wen felt disappointed. The one who killed his relatives and framed Jin Clan was the silent and obedient boy once that he treated as a brother. Now, he wants his life too.
"How evil am I?" Zi Yingjun laughed. He brought out the ice sword again and his eyes became sharp. It was not like how Zi Xian looks but he never knew he mirrored his father. "You don't know unless we fight to death."
