(55) Ambiguous Cousins

Zi Yingjun had collected every Dire Boars and it is enough to fulfill his plot next day before the tournament ends. What he needs is only a little manipulation and ties of strings. Knowing Hei Si Yin's temperament, she will surely find a way to make him suffer. As for her plan to extract revenge, she will realize it soon when she returns to their camp. Zi Yingjun smiled faintly but it doesn't contain any good intention. He'll be counting on Zi Yan Yue for the rest of his plan to be executed like a novel carefully plotted.

But before that, he should make sure to give Zi Yan Yue a little inspiration. Zi Yingjun purposely searched for the Hei's camp. With his divine sense, he was able to find it in no time. However, the sun has sunken and its quite dark. There is a certain room that still had light with its window opened. A girl silently leaned on the window while looking outside as if waiting for someone.

"Beauty Moon?" a fair voice asked and knocked from the open door. Zi Yan Yue gave a short glimpse to her considered friend. Hei Wen Zhu seemed to be genuine in being kind towards her. Besides, he can easily amuse her with his jokes. As of now, he prefers calling her Beauty Moon because of her last name. She looked back outside and propped her chin on her hand, her eyes dazed again. Hei Wen Zhu sighed secretly, either for himself or for her. He calmly strode to her direction and stood by the window. "Beauty Moon, are you waiting for him?"

Zi Yan Yue lowered her gaze. She nodded gently with her hope slowly dimming. Why didn't Zi Yingjun came to take her back? Did something happen to him? Was he injured too?

"Its obvious your little snowflake is worried for another man." Hei Si Yin said and stopped by. She earned a threatening look from Hei Wen Zhu but she snorted fearlessly. "Don't bother, Miss Zi. After all, he has been with his Jin lover the whole day. Your cousin even harassed that person forcibly this morning. Its lucky I stopped him from doing anything malicious to that guy."

"What do you mean?" Zi Yan Yue stood up from her seat. The things she can't stand the most were always in regards of Zi Yingjun. Specially slandering him or accusing him without proof. Nonetheless, she will still choose to believe him than outsiders. She knows the kind Zi Yingjun who accompanied her since childhood is concealed in the depth of his monolith defensive heart. "Yingjun never harassed anyone. He's not impulsive and- and he is already after someone in our academy. What proof do you have to accuse him like that?"

"Hmph. No wonder Zi Clan is weak. Their young masters were so pampered and innocent. Of course, Zi Yingjun is excluded since he's a demon's spawn." Hei Si Yin sneered with deep hatred. Just looking at Zi Yan Yue's pure innocent face made her feel irritated.

"Si Yin, get out of here. Or should I drag you out?" suddenly, Hei Wen Zhu spoke. His eyes were darker than ever for two reasons. Zi Yan Yue can blindly defend Zi Yingjun and she obviously sees her cousin as more than her relative or classmate.

"Let's have a talk after this." Hei Si Yin grimly said before leaving. Really, no wonder Hei Wen Zhu doesn't find anyone interesting in their clan. He favors innocent looking women that are easier to bully and satisfy himself. No one knew other than her and their clansmen just what sort of unruly boy he is. His gentlemanly behaviour around Zi Yan Yue is evidently his facade to trap a naive rabbit.

"You're really...different." Zi Yan Yue looked up towards him. She received a gentle smile in turn. "Thank you."

"Different? I bet Zi Yingjun does the same to help you out." Hei Wen Zhu glanced outside to see a purple fabric hidden behind a tree. His lips tugged downwards in secret.

"N-no. He..." she hesitated at first. After all, a they don't know each other very well. In the end, she does need someone to tell her true feelings. If she were to speak of it with her classmates, they will relay it to others and it might reach Zi Gu Wen. "He doesn't treat me this way anymore. Yingjun's been distant recently. Since, I know he only see me as his cousin."

"Ah, he's quite dull then." Hei Wen Zhu chose to let the window open. He kept his gaze outside and tactfully said, "Beauty Moon is cute, but he seems to favor someone like his fiance? Ai, if it was me, I'd rather choose Beauty Moon."

"Why are you here anyway?" she faintly blushed since he is good in flattering girls.

"To check if you're having a good rest. But seems like your thoughts are occupied and you cant sleep." Hei Wen Zhu turned to her with a bitter smile. For a moment, Zi Yan Yue felt like there is something he is keeping from her. And his gestures, its the same as Zi Gu Wen. "Well then, I won't disturb you."

Zi Yan Yue nodded and sat on the bedside in silence. She heard a rustle outside. With a frown, she headed to the window but a figure jumped on the sill and covered her mouth.

"Hi." Zi Yingjun smiled brightly. The young girl's eyes widened but her cheeks were heated. He slowly removed his hand and sat on the sill nonchalantly. "Im taking you back tomorrow. How's your injury?"

"Its f- its still not good." Zi Yan Yue changed her words.

"Here. Drink this medicine and your injury will heal. Brother Wen will surely scold me if you are limping." he placed a vial in her grasp. Zi Yingjun secretly took a glimpse by the open door to see a shadow there. With a slightly raised voice, he pinched her chin and spoke, "This won't happen again. I'll come back tomorrow noon to retrieve you. Be careful, en?"

"He likes both men and women?" Hei Si Yin pondered while listening with Hei Wen Zhu. When she took a peek inside, she was stunned in place to see the ambiguous scene inside.
