(24) Pure Yin

Zi Yingjun was cultivating the whole night. He consumed few of the spirit crystals and left three thousand for the merchant caravan arriving in the next few months. He was still unable to have a breakthrough to the sixth rank which is expected. In every level, there are lots of differences in spirit crystal consummation. The expenses will grow tremendously and reaching a new stage is even more difficult. There will be a day he will use spirit crystals up to hundred thousands before even reaching Heavenly Qi Stage.

"Next, to check the weapons." he opened his eyes and picked up the qiankun bag that was still hanging on his waistband. In one thought of him, the qiankun bag opened up and released three weapons of oppressive auras. One is a sword made of dark metal with having a menacing glow. It was the contribution of Jin Clan, Bleak Night Sword. Another is a spear with the weakest aura, it is also in the inferior level but surely the crappiest one. Zi Clan gave him these and he ended up laughing at their revenge. As for the final weapon, it was the bow made of hundred years old ice that Hei Clan gave, naming it Hundred Frost Bow.

He examined the three and seen through each other's flaws. The Bleak Night Sword was used by many members of Jin Clan. Lots of innocent lives had died and the evil energy can make the next user turn insane. Trying to guess, Jin Clan probably killed mortals before giving the sword to him as a disrespect and revenge.

The spear that Zi Clan gave him is also an inferior level weapon but it have the weakest power amongst all weapons. It cant even pierce through a Qi Refinement beasts in the fifth level. It was tampered in the beginning when the spear was made. If he were to use it, there is a chance once he exceed the spear's limit of force, it will break and become useless.

Hundred Frost Bow has a flaw too. A small part of the bow was made of normal ice but the strength can be on par with the Bleak Night Sword. The real problem is, only cultivators with ice or yin attribute can use it. There are many elements that created more paths in cultivation and super clans have ways to verify a cultivators elemental attribute while small-scale forces knew little about it. However, Hei Clan certainly have the yin attributes either darkness, ice, water, void and more. They can use Hundred Frost Bow but since Hei Clan has a lot of differences with Zi Clan, they gave it as a reward for Zi Yingjun and there is a high chance he wont be able to use it.

Unfortunately to them, their schemes won't work to Zi Yingjun. He used Tempering Flame to refine the evil energies in the Bleak Night Sword. The souls of the innocent mortals were also not spared as they got devoured by the flame, dying in a way they are unable to reincarnate again. It was cruel but that is the only way to clear the evil energy and Zi Yingjun is not full of mercy. He is a demonic cultivator and no one can change that.

For the spear, since it have limits in external and internal forces, there is no way to temper it and using the Tempering Flame might destroy the spear. The only way left is to sell it. Recreating the spear is possible but Zi Yingjun is not a craftsman.

Next is the Hundred Frost Bow. He fancied it though and even if there is a flaw, Zi Yingjun certainly has the ability to use the bow. "Tsk, those fools knew nothing about me. Haha!" he chuckled and stepped out of the bed. Zi Yingjun held the bow in his hand. He tugged the string and aimed outside the open window. Transferring his qi to the bow, a transparent blue light appeared with a white glow. It looked dainty, pretty and weak however, when he released it, a strong wind turned his room into a messy state.

The arrow left a trail of snow everywhere it went. With one thought of him, the arrow reached a peach tree nearby and struck it. Silence came when a loud boom resonated. The whole peach tree turned into ice, layers of frost scattered within a meter. The deafening sound made a commotion as servants around the estate went to the icy place.

"Not bad." Zi Yingjun nodded from the result. He placed all the weapon back to his qiankun bag then closed the window. His attribute is something he should be proud of. In all elements, there are few outstanding energies that has many attributes within. One of the rare attribute a person can have was the yin and yang. Attributes refers to the element a cultivator can control and turn their qi into the same nature. Yang refers to all bright attributes without darkness or evil energies. The cultivator who have it can control fire, light, earth, lightning and more.

As for yin attribute, it is also the same with yang. All dark energies can be controlled by the cultivator such as ice, snow, water, cloud, chaos and more. Cultivation is basically using the fragments of the Great Dao. The Great Dao is a powerful source where anything can happen. All attributes came from the Great Dao and a cultivator will receive a fragment. However, another rare situation is that when the cultivator attained a pure fragment.

Zi Yingjun on the other side, although is normal in cultivation talent, his source of power is not. Since he roamed the five continents for his whole life, Zi Yingjun have experienced infiltrating a super force and this led to him discovering attributes. He was tested and Zi Yingjun's attribute is the rare pure yin, a fragment of the Great Dao but since it was pure, the control of darkness was even more suitable to him that he can surpass those who have no pure fragment in terms of qi.
