(93) Ye Qinglan's Burden

Though the whole room was searched, there are no signs of a girl. Zi Yan Yue fell into a dilemma. She didn't explain herself and left in hurry. Among the group of students, Zi Gu Bo remained silent before following her. Head Teacher Zi Lao Shui gave Zi Yingjun and Ye Zen a sharp look and left with the students.
"Where's Ye Qinglan?" Ye Zen immediately asked. He was worried there for a second. Fortunately, Ye Qinglan is not here. But where is she? That is another thing he worried. "Give me my sister!" Ye Zen glared at Zi Yingjun in hostility and snatched Ye Qinglan. Hu conveniently appeared on the bed after he placed her there. "He already admitted he killed Hei Xue. But, I decided to drop the case. Don't tell Jin Xuan Pei."
"Hey, what?" she cant believe it. Ye Zen already exposed Zi Yingjun but he doesn't want to convict the guy?
"Don't forget, if I get in jail, I cant make an antidote." Zi Yingjun showed her a familiar porcelain vial. He tossed it back to her and she caught it easily.
"Humph! How convenient." Jin Xuan Meng quickly drank it. Her hazel eyes turned yellow again. The last time Zi Yingjun gave her the antidote, it was when they entered a cave. However, the effect had worn out and it caused her to lose in every spar these past days.
"I remember." Ye Zen thought of something. "How long can the seal withhold it?"
"A year and a half. Im not a qualified rune master to seal it completely." Zi Yingjun pondered for a moment. He glanced at Jin Xuan Meng then to Ye Zen. "Her lifespan is short. After the seal's effect, it will bring a drawback and strengthen her ability. That can only mean even if she doesn't wish to use it, the Authority will access itself anytime. I suggest you should find a supreme rune grandmaster to seal her Authority. In that way, her Authority may be sealed for a century."
"It cant be stopped?" he frowned. Ye Zen thought he found a method to keep her Authority from harming her. Ye Empire have a lot of talented rune masters but asking a supreme rune grandmaster is not easy as well.
"Its my first time hearing about humans having the ability of spiritual existence so don't blame me for knowing nothing. Moreover, that was just a speculation." Zi Yingjun thought Ye Zen is really pitiful. He cant save Ye Qinglan no matter what he does. Even more than that, asking a supreme rune grandmaster for a favor is not even possible! "Hu, take her back to the palace. Make sure she doesn't escape again." Ye Zen solemnly said.
"Master, when can I come here again?" Hu wagged his tail and jumped on Ye Zen. He can tell how downcast Ye Zen is. Hu has been with them since they were small. They grew up without parents, degraded by their very own clan. Ye Zen treats his sister as the most precious treasure in his life, that is why he strived to surpass his seniors. However, things just go against Ye Zen's wishes.
"Come back before the emperor sends his troops." he lightly rubbed Hu's head. Hu nodded and flew in front of his face. The spirit beast pressed their forehead as farewell before leaving. Zi Yingjun knew his presence is no longer needed so he decided to leave as well. "Zi Yingjun, where are you going after Da Long Mountain gets destroyed?"
"Find Ye Huai and stay in Ye Empire for a while." Zi Yingjun paused. He tittered after receiving a look of disbelief from Ye Zen. "What? You think I will stay here and be the hero? No way. My very own clan is disgusted with me so I have to leave and stay out of their business."
"No wonder a Shadow Asura sticks with you. You're as heartless as a demon beast." Ye Zen said but Zi Yingjun shrugged his shoulder. "Can you seal her Authority again? If you could, stay in Ye Empire. I have a good position there and Master can help you in your cultivation."
"Just find a rune master to seal her once in a while. I will not stay in Ye Empire for long." he gave a brief smile and headed out. Sovereign Hei appeared when Zi Yingjun closed the door. "What is her Authority? How many years does she have left?"
"There are different kinds of Authority but she is a talented Enslavement Dao cultivator. Lately, I noticed she kept going to the dorm's garden and watch insects or birds. She was speaking with them. I cant even speak to animals but she seems to be able to understand them." Sovereign Hei has been spying on Ye Qinglan prior to Zi Yingjun's order. "She doesn't heed her brother's warning at all and used her Authority everyday. Most people with Authorities who are not using it can live for twenty years. But she has been using it so Im afraid she can only live for three years more."
