Sui Shen's eyes widened. She hurriedly created another seal but it didn't work! Frosts started covering the surrounding of Zi Yingjun. A portion of his hair turned white as his purple eyes contracted in pain. He coughed out another batch of dark red blood which panicked Sui Shen. She never had an experience of healing a human, this is her first time living outside the River of Time. Sui Shen desperately turned to the shadow standing on the darkest corner of the room. However, Sovereign Hei just shrugged his shoulder. He is calmly watching Zi Yingjun suffer.
"Sovereign Hei, help Master!" Sui Shen pointed out but he shook his head.
"Do shut up, Little Critter." he smiled deviously. Sovereign Hei turned to Zi Yingjun with his hollow eyes full of interest. "My, his father is somewhat clever. He's not a bastard like his son said, haha!"
Zi Yingjun endured that his body felt numb. His eyes blurred for a moment. He closed his eyes in hope of stopping it when he saw a vague figure in the darkness.
"Its time." the vague figure mouthed without even using his voice but Zi Yingjun was able to understand it.
"Ah! Master passed out!" Sui Shen was horrified. She approached Zi Yingjun slowly before floating in front of his face. The frosts in the room started to disappear but the small portion of white hair of his didn't turn back to black. Sui Shen entered his dantian but to her shock, she cant get inside.
"Little Critter, who told you to serve this boy?" Sovereign Hei asked after a long silence.
"The immortals. They didn't even belong in this world, those immortals came from different worlds. Its strange they want a child of fate to save this ending place." Sui Shen wandered to the bed and sat there. She kept her gaze on Zi Yingjun. Somehow, she felt fear and relief. Fear that she has to face lots of catastrophes with her master. Relief that her master is capable.
"Oh." Sovereign Hei smiled secretly. He can tell Sui Shen hadn't read the whole course of history yet. No wonder she has no idea what sort of person Zi Yingjun is nor know his true origin. He is sure Zi Yingjun's father is not simple at all. "Little Critter, do you know the last nemesis of the first child of fate?"
"Hm? If I remember it correctly, it was the Soul Devourer Demon Lord, Yi Yi." Sui Shen pinched her chin. She belongs to the River of Time and with so many things in her head, she can only remember the important ones that are recorded and shown to her. Soul Devourer Demon Lord Yi Yi is the last enemy of the first child of fate. He established the most powerful demonic sect in the central continent and caused many bloodshed. Like his name, he devour souls to prolong his lifespan and that method has long been lost. "You're not saying... Master is his son?!"
"Silly, not." he grinned. Sovereign Hei stepped closer to the sunlight and his figure changed. Unlike his obscure black shadowy body, he turned different like a human. Sui Shen was stunned to see his real appearance. Such face is on par with Zi Yingjun, charming enough to deceive the wariest person in this world. Sovereign Hei's blue green pupils flashed a sharp light. "Demon Lord Yi Yi has been dead for a million year. Its impossible for him to be this boy's father. But you see, they have the same aptitude. Preferably, Zi Yingjun's pure yin is not an ordinary pure fragment of the Great Dao."
Sui Shen froze in place. She recalled the questions he had asked. Could it be- this was planned all along? Someone planned this and they are just one of the chess pieces? To what? To enrage a child of fate? And Zi Yingjun, he's the main key for the schemer's success. Its likely, an immortal planned this.
Zi Yingjun awakened late the next day. His head throbbed in pain for a good few seconds. He cant find Sui Shen nor Sovereign Hei. Upon transferring his consciousness into his dantian, Zi Yingjun was astounded to find a discovery.
His qi sea is filled with the purest yin energy ever. He can tell they are refined and are of good use. The stream of yang that Sui Shen left is starting to break like fragments. Zi Yingjun had never seen such frightening dark energy before. Sure he used black arts but its not as dark as this qi in his dantian.
"Master, don't pace out." Sui Shen's voice brought him back to reality. Zi Yingjun opened his eyes to see Sui Sheng floating in front of him. "Master, I was worried for a second there. Its fortunate nothing went wrong."
"... The seal was broken." he looked down on his hand, dubious if his guess was right or not. "But you know that in my past life, I was unable to break it even when I reached the Celestial Life Stage."
Sui Shen opened the Book of Time and started looking for the past but her eyes widened in shock. The page about Zi Yingjun's birth was blank. Even when she turned more pages, its all left empty.
"This..." the Book of Time can never be altered unless it was an immortal who mastered the Law of Time or someone travelled time and tampered history.
"So, tell me. Who sealed my dantian? And why did the seal break just now?" Zi Yingjun squinted his eyes dangerously. Sui Shen closed the book and lowered her head.
"Master, someone messed with the Book of Time I inherited. It doesn't contain your birth. In fact..." the girl went to an abrupt pause returned a serious look. "The process of Master's journey is blank, the only records written were Master's childhood until the present. I wouldn't want to guess but I think Master's kin is not simple. The only record I found in the past is that Master's father, Ye Huai, is the one responsible for the seal. I cant understand why the records suddenly became blank."
"Ye Huai? So, that's the bastard's name." he muttered. Zi Yingjun's lips tilted upwards. "Where is he? In Ye Royal Family?"
