Chapter 8Drew was on a video call with Jacqueline. He was still trying to come up with a concrete storyline for his next book, and Jacqueline was the only person he could exchange ideas with because she understood how his brain worked. After several minutes, he noticed, for what felt like the umpteenth time, Jacqueline grinning at him for no reason whatsoever.
“Is something going on?” Drew asked. Then he ran his palms all over his face. “Or is there something on my face?”
