"About the war between the goblins and the elves, I don't think it was convincing", Thai started and Kika looked up with admiration at her. Mr Jenkins had a look of excitement etched on his face as he thought for a while. "My, my, my, nice. So you think there is something else that was overlooked?".
Facing the deep gaze of the teacher and Kika's expectant look, Thai took a breath before answering with a nod. She was really sure something was missing from that text.
Mr Jenkins leaned on the chair taking out a book from the drawer and placed it on the table. "You seem to be the only newbie that is so interested in this class. Take this book and", he paused for a while, adjusted his glasses and leaned forward, "Next week, you share your ideas with the Myth Committee and a few other students. Is that okay?"
Thai smiled and nodded, took her bag ND got up. She was sure there must be something hidden behind those words and she was going to uncover it. "I see you are familiar with Ms Woodleg. She is quite a keeper ", Mr Jenkins added after she had taken the book with a black cover from the table. " Can I work with her, Mr Jenkins", Kika threw a glance behind her and added, "Maybe the elves were in the wrong this time rather than the goblins".
"I'm sure the goblins were not so innocent either", another heavy voice added from behind which made the trio turn to the voice.
Kika glared at the blond boy who was gazing at her with disgust and arms crossed.
Thai glanced at them and for the first time saw something unusual.
There were five boys sitting behind and were all emitting cold aura except one who had an awkward smile on his face.
"How sure are you about whether the goblins were wrong"? ", Thai threw a question back at him with curiosity as she stared at the boy who was still looking at Kika." Well they of low quality and lack in manners so why wouldn't they always be in the wrong?", he threw a question back at her, turning to her.
"Uhh... Mr Elvin and Ms Woodleg has been in a competition for a while. They seem to be at each other's neck ",Mr Jenkins quickly chipped in tension the tension in the room.
Thai just nodded, adjusted her bag, an indicator to the frowning girl that they should be going. Kika took her bag, glared at him and made her way towards the door. She felt suffocated being in the same room as him.
"Well, I hope Mr Elvin, as an intelligent student, know that one should judge a book by its cover and that there is always a hidden detail in every situation", Thai stared at him meaningful before following Kika out.
Mr Jenkins sighed and also got out. He was exhausted by all these quarrels and misunderstandings.
"I don't understand why you hate that girl that much that you pick up a fight with her", a blue haired boy with orange highlights at the tips of his hair retorted, earning a glare from his companion next to him.
"Her existence is a mistake".
Kika got out and punched the wall next to her, almost dying from the pain it brought. She was so fed up with the guy but she could not do anything because he was much built and stronger than her.
"Are you alright?"
She turned to the platinum haired girl behind her who had a weird look on her face and composed herself, maintaining a calm demeanor, as she smiled at her.
She opened her mouth to speak but someone interrupted.
"Well, look who I am seeing. I've looked everywhere for you", a Spanish accent sounded to them and Kika turned to the purple haired girl walking towards them.
Lexith stopped and stared at Kika for a while before smiling.
"Lexi, why didn't I see you at the class today?", Kika put on a strict look as she placed her hand on her waist and pretended to be upset. "I had Etiquette and Manners with Mrs Brookes but it seems like she was having a hard time with Anaitis this time ", Lexith explained, chuckling and Kika joined.
Thai cleared her throat to let them know she was still there just in case they were stuck in their own world.
" Oh, hi, Thai . Didn't see you there ", Kika apologized and walked over with Lexith," Thai, this is Lexith Spellkins and Lexith, this is Thai..."
" We actually know each other ", Lexith cut through her sentence, waving a little at Thai who smiled in return.
" Oh, well then, next time, make sure I finish speaking before you interrupt".
Kika leaned towards the entrance with an annoyed look.
She always ends up in an embarrassing situation.
" Oh, come on, Kika, lo siento", Lexith quickly apologized.
" Don't you dare speak Spanish with me, chica. I can speak Japanese too", she threw her hands in the air and she hit something which made her hiss and hold her hand in pain.
" What the hell..."
She turned and took a step back, with a missed step, breaking her glasses as a result of moving too fast as she looked at the person in horror.
What had she done?
