Chapter 8 Not Real Stuffs

919 Words
Jax stepped closer to take what was in her hand but Lexith stepped back, bumping into somebody. She looked up to see deep obsidian black eyes staring at her. She awkwardly chuckled and moved away, letting some of the paintbrushes and pencils fall to the floor. "Blood, how are you?", Jax turned to the man who had bent down, picking up the fallen things. "Will you cut it out with the surnames, mate", Vladimir glared at him, taking the pencils and paintbrushes from Lexith's hold and tied it with his hairband and took the papers too. "Are you sure you can hold all those?". "Don't worry about me, Sorceress. I have much bigger hands than you", he assured Lexith, revealing her status, while trying to remove his loose hair from his eyes. "You guys really like giving pet names, don't you? You look kind of good maintaining your bad boy image ", Thai commented, staring between the two," Lexith, I'll be going to the Spanish class so see you at lunch. Bye Vamps". Thai waved at Vladimir and pulled Jax away from them. Lexith scanned the hallway and turned slowly to Vladimir after finding out no one was there except for them. " You almost revealed my identity, you dummy", her eyes glowed purple as she glared at him. "Hey, calm down now, Sorceress. To mortals, it's just a pet name. Why so worked up?". He tried removing his hair with the pencils but failed. " Can you at least make another hairband to tie my hair cause it's annoying me? ", he groaned, looking pleadingly at her. "[He kind of looks cute... Oh my magic potions] She shook off the thoughts then looked up at Vladimir who held a confused gaze. "You look okay with your hair down", Lexith tried to refuse him but he just stared at her which made roll her eyes, "I really have no out of this, do I?". Vladimir smiled and shook his head. "So, do you plan on being a doctor or a linguist?", Jax stared at the girl beside him intensively while Thai chuckled out of nervousness. This was her first time walking with a boy alone without any girl's company. "Well, a doctor, obviously. A linguist is just a skill to communicate with different people". "How? Won't you work at one place? ",his face morphed into confusion, trying to understand the meaning behind her words. " Okay I need to explain this. What is your lesson at the moment? ",Thai stopped and turned to him, which made him stop too. "I also have Spanish class but unfortunately for you, the teacher isn't around", he stated putting an arm around her shoulder and pushed her forward. Thai was surprised a bit but tried to ease her nervousness to not make things awkward. Making friends was something she was not very good at in the first place and it was a blessing that the first girl she talked to was nice and had a lot of friends. "We're here, Will... I mean Thai ", he rubbed his neck out of embarrassment, "Sorry". Thai laughed and took a seat on the first row and looked around to see most people doing their business just like what happened in the History class with Mr Jenkins. Jax joined her, placing the books carefully on the table then looked through them carefully. "What are these books for? Do you believe in these things?". "I..." "Fancy meeting you here, Amor", a voice interrupted Thai before she could answer Jax's question. She huffed in annoyance and turned to the Italian boy who had taken a seat next to her right side. "Are you not an Italian? What are you doing in Spanish class?", her gaze held a bit of suspicion as she stared at him. "Are you also not a Korean, Amor?", he threw a question back at her, with a cold smile then turned to Jax. "I see you've met the surname soldier", he focused his attention firmly on Jax, "How are you doing, Klein?" "In perfect shape and body, as you can see. How about you, DeVille?" Thai stared between the two guys who were in an eye contest and gulped at the tension that was rising. "Okay, enough, you two", she glared at both of them, breathed in and out to calm her nerves, "So as I was saying..." "What were you saying, Amor?" Thai felt like giving him a punch to wipe that smirk of his face but she didn't want to appear aggressive in front of them. "I was explaining to Jax why I plan on learning languages even when I want to be a doctor", she calmly stated her answer again as Sin nodded. "Well, then, explain it to him". He then placed his head on the table and closed his eyes. Thai noticed that he wasn't interested in the conversation in the first place and she was being stupid for thinking that. "Jax, even in China, there are a lot of people here. Vladimir is a British and I can see that Lexith is a Spaniard so what if I work in China and I can only speak Korean and English", Thai explained, sighing in relief when he nodded thoughtfully to her words then picked up the book about the history of goblins. So, why interested in this stuffs? They are not real, y'know? ". " Well, maybe when you become a demon's soul or a vampire's meal, you'd understand ".
