“Hyakuhei,” Kyoko tried to hiss, but it sounded more like a squeak. As if stepping into some spotlight out of the darkness, his long, dark hair floated around him in some imaginary breeze, lending to his wickedness.
Hyakuhei smirked when he took a step forward and Kyoko took a step back. “Come now, don’t you want what you came for?” he held the talisman out in front of him as if to taunt her.
Kyoko stopped her retreat, wanting to wipe the smirk from his face. Her eyes lit up for a millisecond as she reached behind her and thankfully felt the crossbow there on her back. In an instant, she had fired a spirit dart straight at his exposed chest.
