Shinbe and Kyoko jumped apart when a flash of red appeared beside of them out of nowhere, growling. Shinbe’s eyes held the glint of fire that would’ve rivaled Kyou’s on a bad day, as he met Toya’s angry glare. Kyoko was too astonished to react at first, but seeing the fire leap between Toya and Shinbe, she quickly intervened. Reaching out, she laid a calming hand on Toya.
