“She what?” I asked as I stared at my mate in horror.
“She resigned with immediate effect,” Wyatt repeated as he leaned back against the couch.
“Holy s**t,” I said as I plonked myself down next to him. “Any idea why?” I then asked.
“Nope. She came into the office, which was a surprise in itself,”
“And then?” I urged, eager to hear what had happened.
“And then she asked me to translate for Adam and then resigned with immediate effect,” he explained, and I groaned.
“Didn’t Adam ask her why?” I asked.
“He did, all she said was that it was time for her to move on and that she would be moving out of her apartment today,” Wyatt looked just as disappointed and heartbroken as I felt.
“So, she’s gone?” I questioned softly.
