“Why are you hesitating, a Dona doesn’t hesitate to pull the trigger or she dies.” Michail was trying to antagonise me. The horses had calmed down and the stables were quiet once again except for his taunting.
“Because you were once Xander’s father in law, you’re his family.” I said, I couldn’t even hide the disappointment in my voice but at least my voice sounded more calmer than I actually felt.
I looked at the kids by my side, Kai had managed to calm Ajana down even though she still looked like a deer caught in headlights.
