My eyes fluttered close, taking the deepest of breaths before continuing down the stairs. Jeremy was at the very end of the staircase, his eyes briefly met mine. His blue eyes were, if possible, bluer today, brighter and excited for me. My mark burned for him, pulling us close, and I felt him give in. He walks close but not close enough to be improper. His hand dropped inconspicuously by his side, and I felt him brush his pinky finger ever so slightly against mine as he walked past, the touch only lasting for a mere second. It made my heart skip a beat. A jolt to my chest. Stop. I begged, feeling myself giving in as well, but stayed where I was, fighting the burn of my mark that wasn’t his.  Don’t.  But he’s gone, disappearing towards the end of the plane where the cargo is.  I took
