It turns out, I was on the wrong floor. So engrossed in the beauty of my surroundings, I accidentally went up another flight of stairs and into someone else’s room. It was strange… I can still feel his eyes on me despite already being one floor down.  Descending the grand staircase with only the soft glow of the lamps to light the way, I felt those eyes following me, making my skin prickle and my heart beat erratically. Twice I looked back, expecting to see him, but I didn’t.
