Cassidy’s POV
“Done?”
She nodded and the tray of food was taken away from her lap. She muttered her gratitude to Eric as he dropped the tray on the coffee table by the couch.
“Lia texted me.”
Cassidy smiled. “Really?”
“She wants to hang out with Hideto and I.”
“Oh.” Her smile dropped. “Really?”
Eric sat beside her on the bed and shrugged. “We haven’t hung out in a while, well… in years. The three of us kinda are friends. But you’re not feeling too well so I’m not going to be with them.”
Cassidy mulled over what he said. She didn’t want to be like a negative nancy and it seemed like it had been long since they were together as friends. She could tell they had a lot to catch up on and keeping him away seemed wrong.
