Cassidy’s POV
The words he had said kept echoing in her head. She could not believe what he had said. It had to be a lie or just a way to shut the woman, Esme, up. If he had meant what he said, it made her heart beat so fast she could feel the rush of blood flowing through her veins.
“What did you just say?” Esme asked with incredulousness heavy in her voice before looking at Cassidy with disdain. “You want… Lincoln, tell me you’re lying. What you said makes no sense. Look at me, I am the perfect woman for you.”
“Leave my office, Esme. We are done. This relationship is over and I would really appreciate it if you leave and never return.”
