Chapter 8 Reunion

Austin Pov:

I felt like I couldn't breathe. My voice stuck on my throat. I couldn't believe my eyes. Was I dreaming. No, it couldn't be.

It was my Kiddo, my child, my world. It had to be her. It had to. I could recognize her miles away.

My eyes stuck on her. I finally found her. It was her.

My Kiddo...

She was standing at the door on her drenched pajamas. Water was dripping from her wet hair. Her eyes were red, diverting from here to there , looking for some one then fixed on Mr. Rob. Her face somewhat hardened locating him.

She went straight to him, landing a punch right across his face.

She was yelling at Rob something, hitting him, cursing him. I heard Lorenzo to command every one to "eyes down" something like that.

But I couldn't bring myself to concentrate on anything. My whole focus was on her.

It was like my world stopped. I was too stunt to move. I rooted on my chair like I glued on it.

How could I ?

I was so hard to believe my eyes. She was really my sister, my Kiddo. Never ever in the universe I thought I would see her here like this.

I was searching for her in the whole world like crazy and here she was, in front of my eyes beating someone.

My heart was beating so fast. I tried to compose myself but it was so hard. I somehow managed to call her name but it comes out shaky whisper.

"Kiddo"

She wasn't paying attention to anyone. For some reason she was so keen to kill that bastard. I never saw her like this.God what have you done to her? Where was my gentle, timid, shy Kiddo who didn't even have the gut to kill a fly.

It was not that I was disappointed. I was actually surprised. She looked so confident, so strong, nothing like the old fragile girl.

That was more like my sister. I was so proud of her. Oh God.. How much I missed her. My heart was literally bursting out in joy.

"Kiddo" I called her again, slowly approaching her, afraid this was all just my illusion. This time she halted a bit but then continue to beat the s**t out of Rob.

I must say, she got some skills.

But I really needed to stop her or else she might really kill Rob. Even if it would be too thrilling to see her beat him to death, I didn't want her hands to be stained by his filthy blood.

No one dared to move an inch. All the members of the board just witnessed the scene unfold. You couldn't blame them it was not everyday thing that they got to see someone daring to come to our building like this, let alone making a commotion in the meeting room.

Taking a deep breath I called her again. She seemed to block everyone out. Lorenzo about to interfere but I beat him up on that. I stopped her before it was too late. I lifted her off the ground. She wiggled in my hold almost knocking me down.

"Kiddo, ..Calm down. You will kill him." I coaxed her gently drawing her attention.

I could feel her body tense up a little but she hided it instantly. I lightly stroke her hair. How much I missed her. She changed so much.

"I am fine. Let me go." She murmured.

I lose my grip on her but didn't leave her completely. I was not sure if she was really calm as she was sounding. As if she could hear my thoughts, she took a deep breath then spoke..

"Let me go. " This time her voice was louder and firmer.

I left her but still held her hand. I was just scared that she would vanish if I let her go completely. I couldn't afford that.

"Aus...I mean Mr. Blake I am sorry I crashed in your meeting but that asshole deserves a beating."

Kiddo stated firmly as she forcefully takes her hand out of mine. I immediately felt dejected. Wait a minute. What did she just call me? Mr. Blake!...Was she referring me? My anxiety rose once again.

"Kiddo lis..." My words hung on the air as she spoke again, this time to others.

"Gentlemen, I was really sorry for this inconvenience, but whatever deal Rob was signing with you all has to end now." She confidently declared then turned to me.

"And Mr. Blake doesn't worry I will compensate it with double value." Kiddo talked to me like we were total stranger.

"You can't do that b***h" Rob interrupted before I could even respond. I was surprised, he was still conscious.

It angered Orchid once again. She lashed out instantly.

"Yes I can and I will and not only just this deal old rag, whatever shares you have in this entire country, I am buying all of it so wait and watch ".

"You are j-joking" Rob mocked with a small laugh only to hiss in pain in the end.

"Whatever makes you sleep at night. " Orchid only smirked.

I had a feeling that she wasn't just buffing. At the same time Rob's phone rang.

" Pick it up, pig" Kiddo scoffed.

Now it was getting interesting. I was loving this side of Kiddo. So daring and dominating. Rob picked it up with his unbroken hand.

"Hello , who. wha-t no you c-cant do that, hello. hello? " Rob' s face got instantly got pale.

The other one definitely ended the call. Rob's phone started to vibrate with so many notifications. If Rob was pale then he was paler now as if he had seen a ghost.

"You .. What have you done? I will kill you?" Rob glared at Kiddo with total frustration.

"Really, Why don't you stand up first...

loser." Kiddo mocked. I nearly brust out laughing.

"I am warning you last time, stay the f**k away from her? I won't be this lenient next time." Kiddo elaborated each and every word, making Rob shatter in pure horror. Lenient! She must be kidding.

Lorenzo gestured Mark , he dragged that s**t from here before Orchid could hit him further. Nobody dared to move an inch.

She turned to me, making me nervous instantly.

"Mr. Blake once again I am extremely sorry for bothering you and all but I am not sorry for hurting that dog, You don't have to worry, my lawyer will contact you in a few hours to explain everything. I'll be also paying for all the damage I did here."

She was talking with me as if we were some business associates. I just stared at her like an i***t. Didn't she recognize me. Of course she had. She knew my name. What was the hell wrong with her. Her professionalism was freaking me out. I couldn't read her mind nor her eyes. Her eyes which were filled with rage now completely dead. I had never seen her like this. Did I lost her completely?

No. ..no ..no.. it couldn't be. Please God please help me.

"Everyone.. scam" I ordered finally getting my voice. All went out except for Lorenzo. Kiddo also tried to leave. I stopped her.

"Not you." My face softened. I couldn't believe it was my little Kiddo. She avoided looking at me.

"What are you saying, Kiddo? And how are you? Where have you been all these years? Didn't you recognize me? It's me Austin your brother.. I .. I missed you so so much, I missed you like crazy." My voice cracked up.

I didn't know what to say anymore. So the only thing I do was to hug her. I hugged her tightly. Fear of losing her shallowed me entirely.

I didn't want to let her go. I didn't even know that I could get this emotional. And why the hell she was calling me Mr. Blake. I missed her voice, her sweet smile. Wasn't she happy to see me? Did she hate me?

No.. no God please don't do this to me..

"I am sorry Mr. Blake, I think you have mistaken me for someone else . I- I need to go now. My lawyer will contact you. I promise." Kiddo broke the hug. Her face was expressionless.

She didn't answer me, didn't recognize me.

She just turned to leave. No No It was not going to happen. My face instantly darkened, listening her

"What??? No way you are going anywhere. Are you trying to kill me? You can't go. Come with me." No way I was allowing her to go.

Not now. I held her hand. I realized it was bleeding. s**t .. It might be from the punch. Why didn't I notice it before?

"Mr. Blake What are you doing? Let me go. leave my hand, Please." She hissed at me in anger.

But didn't listen. I tokk her to my office. Lorenzo would handle everything here . He didn't say anything till the end. I didn't care about anything else right now, all I needed to care about was my kiddo. I finally found her..and I didn't intend to lose her again.

"Mr Blake please leave my hand. I already said my lawyer will contact you as soon as possible and I am not your Kiddo, so stop calling me that." I ignored her rant.

I took her straight to my office. Everyone was giving us curious glances but I didn't care. Entering the room, I made her sit on the couch .

"Sit here and let me treat your wound first. Your clothes and hair are still wet. You will get cold. You need to change that s**t to. So Wait here , let me just get the first aid box first." I turned around to get the first aid kit.

"I don't need any of these. You are over reacting and I can take care of myself." She got up from the couch and walked towards the door.

"Kiddo wait .." I ran behind her.

The door opened before she could open it and Lorenzo walked in.

"What do you think you are going, little one?"

Thank God. "Sigh."
