Chapter 4 Final Storm

"What the hell happened here?"

Before Orchid can respond, Mr. Blake roared from behind making her flinch.

Stella flinched too but she was more happy than scared. She hided her smile and pretended that she was in so much pain. Perfect, Stella thought.

"She didn't do it on purpose, uncle. She didn't mean to cut me or push me . Please, ,, please don't punish her. I -I am sure . You know uncle how clumsy I am, it's all my fault, I must have hurt myself anyway."

Stella spoke in an extra soft way, deliberately acting fragile, whimpering in ground. She knee very well that Mr. Blake would be angry with Orchid anyway.

" Mr. B-Blake I .. I didn't do anything, I swear I..."

"Shut up you bitch." Mr Blake doesn't let Orchid finished, slapping her hard right away. She stumbled and nearly falled back but Mr. Blake hold her in place.

"You always make trouble, why don't you just die, you dirt. How dare you hit Stella. Did you forget your place, bitch." Anthony course as he grabbed her harshly. Tears burned her eyes, Orchid bite her lips to not cry out loud.

"Uncle I am fine. It's just a small cut and I don't think my leg is broken, I may just have fractured it. She didn't mean to push me ."

Stella winced acting docile, fueling Anthony's anger.

"No it's her fault. She clearly forgets her place. She should not have hurt you. Look at you, you can't even stand properly but still take her side." Anthony retorted as he dragged Orchid out of the kitchen.

Anthony ordered a maid to treat Stella's wound then send her home. He was more concerned to explain it to David Stella's father. He was already angry, now he has someone to vent his anger. Orchid was always an easy option for him.

On the other hand Stella was so happy that she nearly screamed with excitement seeing Mr. Blake dragging Orchid like that.

She always felt jealous of Orchid. Jealous of Orchid's beauty and talent. They both studied at the same school but Orchid never went school. Taking online classes and exams. But somehow Orchid managed to empress her teachers without even meeting them in real in person.

Stella hated, how every teacher of the school always praised Orchid's grades , how genius Orchid was, how she was two grades ahead from her peers...blah blah.....

And Austin, all the time he would asked about Orchid whenever Stella called him, it drived her crazy. What's so special about her? Orchid isn't even blood related to him as far as she knew. So why was he so concerned about her. Stella didn't want to believe that he loved Orchid. Stella knew , Austin always said , he considered Orchid as his little sister, but still she didn't like that.

Stella always had a feeling for Austin but he never acknowledged it. It made her jealous of Orchid more.

All the maids were so sweet with Orchid as if she was the owner of this mansion.

Stella asked many times who Orchid was but Mr. Blake always avoided answering it .

Her father also doesn't know anything about it. And Orchid, that stupid girl couldn't even speak a word in front of her.

Actually she didn't have any personal issues with her but Orchid was so easy to bully , Stella didn't even know when it became her obsession to hurt Orchid.

And tonight, she thought she would make Austin her but Austin ditched her. Insulting her in front of Lorenzo and Mark. And then Orchid came with Mr. Blake and Mr. King , who never talked to anyone was laughing with Orchid. It mad her blood boiled. Stella still remember how Mr. king avoided her when she greeted him. But now.

What's so special of Orchid! She was so angry and jealous then she got the opportunity to have some fun with Orchid. How could she miss it!

She was satisfied now, thinking all the punishment Orchid would get. Her ego finally calms down a bit. What happens if she didn't get Austin's attention, she could hurt the person he was so concerned about. It was sad that she didn't get to see this herself.

On the other side

Anthony threw Orchid hard on the ground outside the Mansion. It was raining cats and dogs outside, immediately drenching Orchid completely. Orchid fell on the ground with loud thud. Blood started oozing from her knees and hands .She struggled to get up.

“D-dad dad ... P-please believe me I didn't do anything. I am sorry, please

t-trust me" Even though Orchid knew, her begging will fall in deaf ear, still she begged desperately, joining her hands together.

" I told you to behave yourself . This is how you behave yourself ,Rag and stop calling me dad. I am not your dad."

Mr. Blake screamed with his gritted teeth. Pushing Orchid hard in ground.

"You will pay for this. I have had enough of your s**t. I can't do this anymore. If you ever show your face again, I will kill you with my own hands. Do you understand! "

Mr. Blake pulled her by hair making her stand. Her whimper was getting louder. The pain is too much to bear. She didn't properly heal from yesterday's beating.

"I-I a-am s-sorry Mr. Blake, I really d-didn't hurt her. Trust me please."

She cried from the intense pain of her scalp. She tried to free her hair but Mr Blake was so strong, her struggles were futile. And the rain was making it more difficult.

“Trust you! A pathetic bastard like you don't deserve my trust. You shouldn't have even been born in the first place. You are just a curse. I wish you died that day with her. Don't make me kill you witch. Never show your face EVER AGAIN. NEVER. And I mean it. Stay away from us."

Pushing her on the ground again, Anthony kicked her until she was no longer able to say anything.

“Die you bitch."

He left Orchid there, laying on the ground hardly conscious.

Her skin was as pale as snow, freezing like ice. Lips were bleeding, knees and hands were also a bloody mess. She hugged herself tightly to stop her shivering.

She couldn't stop but mummer for forgiveness. She didn't want to be left alone.

"D -dad please d-on't leave m-me here p-lease..

I am s-.sorry. I I will a-always obey you. Please d-don't l-eave me here . .. I-I am so afraid of the dark . Please dad I beg you. .. please forgive me. " Orchid whispered as the pain was too much to bear.

Orchid thought, he was just punishing her. He would definitely tell the maids to get her. He always did that. She just has to be strong. But she couldn't stop crying.

“I know y-you love me d-dad. You a-are just ma-d. Y-ou didn't r-really mean what you s-aid. I know that." Orchid mummered weakly, as if reassuring herself.

Orchid wasn't strong enough to loose faith in him. She really didn't think he would abandon her like that right. After all she was his daughter and if he did not then her brother would come and got her. She just needed to be patient ....

Deep down she knew, it all just her wishful thinking....

Time passed slower than she could imagined. Her heart breaking little by little, but wasn't ready to believe the reality , she couldn't.

It's nearly 5 hours but no one came. It's hard for her to be conscious. The rain keeps pouring like it is crying on behalf of her.

She didn't want to give up but her heart was really breaking. She could't help but think of all the miseries she has endured for the past 13 years.

W-what is her fault? She never hurt anyone, never did anything wrong, always obeys her dad, whatever he told her she did without any complaints. Even when he forbade her to leave the room, isolated her from the entire world, hardly giving her any necessary thing, didn't let her call him Dad. If there was not Mrs. Sully and sister Briana she would have died long ago.

She wasn't even allowed to talk to anyone at home. She has zero knowledge of the outer world.

She didn't understand why he was so cruel to her. It was not her fault that her mother died giving birth to her. She didn't wish to be born here, she didn't wish for things to happen like that. Her brother also ignored her. Although he is polite but he never contacted her all these years, didn't even meet her after coming back.

The more she thinks about it the harder she cries. Even God didn't love her. If He did then nothing would happen like this .

" Why God ! W-hy? Why do I have to e-ndure all this pain and h-umiliation? Why is life so cruel to me? All those beating, all those cursing, I can't endure this anymore."

Orchid cried and cried, laying there and she knew, no one is going to come to get her, she didn't see her brother after the party, probably he won't even look for her if she died here today and her father would be so happy...

Another hour passed by but no sign of anyone. Not even Mrs. Sully .Her body freezing to death. She didn't think, she would be able to hold it anymore.

She finally understood. Her life has no value to others. She was really a curse just like her father said. But it was so hard to accept it.

She somehow managed to get up. She was barely conscious. But she needed to go. She has to. All was over. The hope, the love, the respect all was gone. She couldn't feel anything anymore. It was just empty....

She would not able to forgive herself if she still stayed here. She made up her mind , She would free herself from all these pain.She has to.
