Invisible... That's what I was. Invisible and unnoticed by everyone. To be honest, I liked it that way cause I got used to it but unfortunately it had it's down side. When you can't walk down the hallway to your locker without being body slammed by students passing by, completely oblivious of your presence, it can get really annoying. "OMG! Have you seen the prince today?!" I heard a girl squeal in front of me. That would be Emily. The only person in this entire school that actually sees me. She'd been my best friend since kindergarten. She was the sole thing that I was ever going to miss in this horrible pack when I graduate. "I wonder who you're talking about," I said sarcastically and rolled my eyes in a dramatic manner. "Annabelle don't pretend, you know exactly who I'm talking about." she half glared at me and spun me around to get a good view of who she was talking about. Immediately, my eyes landed on the tall, handsome alpha prince who every girl drooled and fawned over. Jayden Silvers. My heart started to beat faster when I saw him, standing with his usual friends and fans. I hated to admit it but, he really did look good. I could feel my wolf Lexi wagging her tail. Argh, she's as shameless as Emily. He was wearing a black leather jacket on top of a white shirt that didn't fail to show his Rocky hard body and huge biceps. Jeans that fits perfectly on his body and my favorite part, his breath taking green eyes. It reminded me of the trees in the forest. I could get lost in those eyes but those eyes would never look in my direction. Like any other boy like him, though no one else could hold a candle to him, his personality ruined the package. Personalities like self-centeredness, arrogance, superiority and violence. Yes, he was really violent at times. I'd seen him fight some boys and that automatically made me officially (not a fan) "Emmy, one of these days, Dave's going to walk up to you at the same time while you're drooling over the alpha's son and he might not be forgiving," I said reminding her that she had a boyfriend. "Oh please, Dave knows that no one else can take his place in my heart, even more so now that we're mates." she said with a sly grin on her face. My jaw immediately dropped to the floor. "Did you just say the M word right now?" "You betcha, we found out on my birthday last Friday," "That's super amazing, I'm so happy for you guys. I knew you two liked each other but now you're mates!" "So we're going out to celebrate," she mumbled as she abruptly removed her gaze from me. "And by 'we' you mean you and Dave right?" I asked with a raised brow. Why did I feel like she was up to something? "Oh come on Annabelle, you know I'm talking about you and I," she bit her lower lip. "not to mention the party happening tonight." Once again, there was no eye contact. "Oh hell no, you know how much I hate parties. All teenagers do there is to grind against each other, get stupidly drunk and make out with each other. Not to mention the fact that you and Dave ditched me in that last party you dragged me to." "We didn't ditch you." "Yeah, so you didn't leave me alone at the party to find a room so the two of you could…" I didn't complete the sentence but I knew she knew what I meant. "Please, Dave won't even be at this party. He has this family dinner out of town and I really want to go this party with you. Please let's go, pretty please with sugar and sprinkles on top?" she pouted and batted her eye lashes at me. "Fine I'll go but Emmy I swear on all that is sacred, I will never let you take me to another party ever again if you ditch me." Immediately after I said that, she squealed loudly and jumped up and down like a little girl earning stares from other people around us. "Alright, you can calm down now. You're starting to make a scene." "OMG! I'm gonna turn you into the hottest chick on the block tonight. You're probably going to be the one ditching me at this party." "Please, don't try to humor me," I mumbled into my locker grabbing the books I needed for my next class. I looked towards the group of coolest seniors, well one in particular, but as always, he never glanced in my direction. No one even knew that I existed in this school. I sighed and slammed my locker shut. Night time came sooner than expected and of course it was time to get ready for the stupid party. "Would you quit touching it, you'll ruin my masterpiece," Emily slapped my hands away from trying to drag the dress down so it could show less skin. I desperately wanted to add more length to the dress as we walked towards the house where the party was held. "Tell me why do I have to wear this again?" "Cause it's sexy," "This is barely even a skirt, it's just a piece of clothing wrapped around my ass. It's really close to pulling up," I felt so embarrassed showing this much skin and I honestly haven't shown this much cleavage before. Emily shoved my hands away from the hem of the skirt once again. Emily sighed exasperatedly and grabbed my arm and pulled me to the side of the house where the party was. "Listen girl, you are a tough, independent, gorgeous she-wolf. You look super hot and it's time you let the world know it.You've done nothing in the past few years other than being a total bookworm. You don't have fun Annabelle, you're always stuck in your shell. Well today you're coming out of that shell and your gonna have fun. Now stop fiddling with my master piece cause we are going in that party, dance our ass off, get wasted together and enjoy every part of our youth."she hollered while grabbing and pulling me towards the front door. I couldn't stop myself from laughing. Emmy had the ability to make me laugh sometimes and her enthusiastic nature made me love her more. I knew she was right about me being stuck in my shell. Maybe I could give it a try to step out of my comfort zone just for her and just for tonight. Sure enough the scene happening in front of us was just as I expected, half naked teen wolves grinding against each other on the dance floor with people they probably didn't know. People kept coming into the house, not leaving much room to breathe. I needed to find a place to breathe cause I started to feel suffocated. "Emily, is there anywhere here that has a little less… people," I yelled out so she could hear my voice over the loud music blasting in the room. "Over here," she led the way to an unoccupied part of the room and I let out a sigh of relief. "I'll go get us some drinks. Just stay here and I'll be back soon." I nodded not saying anything since it was totally pointless to speak because I hardly heard her. I just stood there as she walked away. I was starting to feel uncomfortable and out of place there. I looked towards the dance floor and saw Alexandria Richards, the most popular and hottest girl in school and also the beta's daughter. With the way she turned around over and over again, it looked like she was desperately looking for someone. As she got closer, I could begin to hear the name she was calling out in her somewhat drunken state. "Jayden?!" She called out. Of course it had to be him. Who else would she be looking for if not him. The future Luna must need her Alpha. From the corner of my eyes, I noticed Jayden coming into the room with a look of anger and annoyance. He glanced to his left and was met with more crowds demanding his attention. He scanned the room and his gaze landed on… me? He walked over to me, blocking my view of the party with his body. Startled, I took a step back but the wall behind me stopped me from moving back further. He was so close that I didn't know where to look or how to move freely. As he moved even closer to me, I unknowingly placed my hands on his chest to stop him from moving further. When I noticed what I was doing, I immediately removed my hands and threw them down to my sides, embarrassedly. What the hell was going on? I looked up and saw those beautiful forest green eyes staring down at me. He was breathing so heavily, and I could feel his minty breathe with a hint of alcohol brush against my face. I was also alarmed by the knowledge of how close his lips were to mine. "Jayden… what are you…" I wasn't able to finish my sentence before his lips crushed into mine.
