"Jayden's my mate." I said interrupting her.
There, I said it. It was all out in the open now.
I could see that what I said shocked her to the core. She looked speechless and I wasn't sure that she was going say anything but suddenly, she bursted into laughter which got me really confused.
"This isn't something to laugh about Emmy." I said with a frown.
"But… why… not? You're so funny." she said, choking with laughter. "You really have a great sense of humor. You almost got me." she wiped a lone tear and continued laughing as if I told the best joke of the century. I wasn't laughing though. I stared her with nothing but seriousness and once she saw the look on my face, her laughter started to awkwardly die down until it finally ceased.
