I stared down at my phone in horror wondering who it could be. Jayden? How the hell did he get my number? He doesn't even know my name. A thought just crossed my mind and I hoped for Emily's sake that it wasn't as I suspected cause if so she's dead meat by the time I get my hands on her. Just then, Emily walked into my room. "Hey, are we gonna head out or not. I was gonna meet up with Dave after I walked you to work…" Emmy's voice trailed off when she saw the look on my face. "What's wrong?" I pulled the phone screen up to her face, knowing full well that she had something to do with this somehow. "I just got a message from an unknown number. Did you give that jerk my number Emmy?" I asked with an angry scowl on my face. She tried her best to suppress her laughter and pretend like she had no idea who I was talking about but I knew her better. "Who do you mean?" "Don't play dumb, you know exactly who I'm talking about. The guy you brought up the table a while ago and the same jerk face I told you I wanted nothing to do with. Emmy, don't lie, how did he get my number?" "Okay fine, I admit that I may have given him your number but it's cause he said he wants to apologize for upsetting you last night. Besides it's only you who would complain when the hottest werewolf in the pack, s***h alpha's son is texting and showing interest in you." she rolled her eyes. "OMG! You're absolutely right! What was I ever thinking? I should be more than grateful that little old me got the attention from prince Jayden." I placed my hand over my chest and acted like I was about to faint. "I should just run into his arms with the hope that he'll hold me forever and make me his Luna." I dramatically grabbed Emily's arms and wrapped them around me for effect. "Alright, alright already, I get it. You let go now," we both laughed as she pushed me away from her. "If you're really not interested in what he has to say then just ignore his text and maybe he'll understand and leave you alone." "Yeah, I guess that'll work. I'll just ignore him and he'll get bored and move on." Monday… The weekend went by fast and it was back to school. Man I couldn't wait until I graduated and I could pick a college and start a real life. To say that I never felt like a teenager would be an understatement cause sometimes I feel like I'm a lot older than my age. Which would explain why I'm not too keen on parties. I didn't fit in with the other teenagers of the pack who spent more time partying and having fun. I spent my time doing other things like either studying or reading romance novels. I actually enjoyed my time alone, and people can't seem to wrap their minds around that. But there I was, trying to get through the week. I didn't have much to worry about getting into trouble cause like I said earlier, I was invisible which meant that no one paid attention to me. So I just need to make my way to my classes like I do every week… and for goodness sake I need to forget about what happened at that party. I don't know know what I was so worried about when he probably forgot about me already. I didn't even receive another text from him after that first one, which i was totally grateful for, so I doubt he's going to invest more time on the matter. I was pretty sure he was just messing with me and finally got tired of it, not that I care. So why does my heart feel so heavy when I think about him forgetting me. 'Cause you like him.' Lexi said. I decided to ignore her cause she was talking crazy. There's no way I could ever like a guy like him. I made my way to my locker and found a couple making out in front of my locker. I tried desperately to get their attention but of course, they ignored me. I wish I could say that this is the first time this has happened but unfortunately, that would be a lie. "Uhm excuse me, I really would like to get to my locker so if you could both move, I'd appreciate it." No response. They just continued like they didn't hear me. I scoffed in disbelief as I threw my arms in the air in defeat. My eyes looked down the hallway and I saw Jayden. He looked handsome as always and as always he stood there with his followers around him knowing how perfect he is. I rolled my eyes and scoffed at his obvious arrogance and was about to walk away when something strange happened. His eyes suddenly darted towards me. I could tell that he wasn't looking past me, he wasn't looking at a hot chick behind me, he was looking straight into my eyes and a smirk began to form on his face. I saw his lips move as if he said something to himself. The first thought that crossed my mind was to retreat but it was already too late he was walking towards me. So I just decided to ignore his approach and focus on getting to my locker. "Excuse me, I really need to get my books so would you please take this somewhere else," I said louder and this time they heard me. The girl gave me an ugly scowl and started to kiss her boyfriend again like I wasn't even there. Argh, meanwhile Jayden was closing on us. He was now standing right beside and I refused to turn around and look at him. He tapped the shoulder of the guy in front of my locker, the guy turned around and saw Jayden. Jayden only had to give them a look and they instantly left. "Thank you," I mumbled as opened up my locker. "You're not even going to look at me?" "I have no problem looking at you." I faced him with a disinterested look. "I just don't want to late for class." I shut my locker and began walking down the hall in hopes that he would lose interest… he did not. He continued to follow me down the hallway. Once we walked over to the other side of the building, I abruptly stopped and turned around to face him, not being able to take it anymore. He stopped just before he could collide with me. "Why the hell are you following me Jayden?" I glared at him and pointed my forefinger at him. I didn't understand why he was so hell bent on pestering me. "Why didn't you respond to my text?" he asked which caught me off guard and sent me mind into a frenzy, not knowing what to say. "I… I didn't know you were the one who texted me." I liked, my eyes darted towards every direction except for his." "Liar, you knew it was me and yet you ignored my text," he crossed his arms over his chest. "So? What if I ignored your text? I don't have to explain why I didn't text back the alpha's son who is also a douchebag!" I also crossed my arms over my chest and waited for his response. Seconds passed and he still didn't say anything, just staring at me like he was looking into an abyss. "What? Cat got your tongue?!" I snapped not being able to take him staring at me like that. "I've never met a girl like you Annabelle. I have never had a girl… infact I have never had anyone ignore my texts before. I gotta tell you, you've got me intrigued." he said in a serious manner. "Well perhaps Alpha," I got closer and leaned over to his ear and whispered, "I'm doing you some good." I turned around and walking into my class that we have stopped in front of and left him there to let that sink in. I couldn't believe that I did that, it was practically flirting! With Jayden Silvers! Who am I? I have never done anything remotely like what I've done in the past three days, but for some reason he brings it out of me. I either want to murder him, or kiss him. Either way he makes me have a strange feeling in my chest and I'm not used to such feelings. Hopefully he gets tired of pestering me and goes back to his life. Jayden POV I stood there in the hallway completely speechless. I stared into space for a straight five minutes before the bell started to ring and I snapped out of my trance, realizing that I needed to get to my class. I peeled my eyes away from her and headed down the hallway with a smirk on my face. Something about this girl has got me totally hooked. I have never had a she-wolf not throw themselves at me, and how have I never noticed her before? There was absolutely no way that I haven't seen those beautiful dark blue eyes and sexy body before. Sure, she wasn't interested in wearing revealing clothes, but she did at the party. Putting all that aside that fire inside her was infectious. I couldn't get enough of it. I felt the urge to piss her off just so I could see that adorable miniature face flush with anger and the cute way she tried to intimidate me. But I never would have guessed she would be able to seduce me with her words and actions the way that she has. I've got a taste of her and now I want more.
