Carissa’s POV
We finished packing up and we were ready to head to the castle. “Cari.” Scorch said and I turned to him. “I talked to the others, and we’re going to go to the castle tomorrow instead.”
I guess I wasn’t in any rush, “Oh, why?”
“We don’t need to be there any longer than completely necessary,” He explained.
I looked at the others as they road off on Belle and Phillip’s horse. “Where are they going?”
Scorch mounted Tomato. “There’s a town nearby.” The capital was the nearest city to the castle but there were a few small towns that were closer. I felt suspicious of Scorch but mounted Tomato anyways. Even Tomato seemed suspicious.
When we got into town we got off Tomato and I followed Scorch to the town’
